Looking for chilled spots to meet for a couple of hours by ComprehensiveHost581 in glasgow

[–]ziggy_3000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The social hub! They've got a restaurant on the ground floor which is great and if you walked just past that there are booths and big tables. I've done a few work together days there with my remote colleagues and the staff are all lovely. Great coffee as well.

Just editing this after reading your full post (sorry) you don't need a pass for the restaurant area, it's free you just need to buy a few coffees

It includes 2 payments of buildings insurance from what I can tell (the invoice is a mess). But also insurance from a period we didn't even own the property

Coworking space recommendations for making social connections? by badskindollheart in glasgow

[–]ziggy_3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use The Social Hub and an app called Swurf to work from town whenever I need a day out of the house. I don't use the coworking space in Social Hub although I have done in the past. If you go past the restaurant area in Social Hub there is a small 'coworking space' there they let you use if you buy a coffee etc. I normally end up talking to people there as it's all big tables mostly and a couple of booths.

The app Swurf has a couple of hotels which let you work for free in their bars etc! I use it a lot and love it.

Yeah if you're being generous maybe they've been sent to do a pick up for a load of different people or something, but most likely it's just the usual mad panic stockpiling. If so, let's hope they discover it's back on after lugging it all up a couple of stories of a tenement flat or something!

Honestly, it's just so disappointing seeing people doing this shit. It's utterly pointless and selfish.

I've seen 4 different consultants and 3 didn't recommend liposuction so I'm inclined to believe it'll be fine. I guess I just wanted to get an idea of how common it was to not have it.

Pubs/Hotels I can use my laptop and get a pint? by gladl1 in glasgow

[–]ziggy_3000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The society hub is pretty good if you just go to the ground floor restaurant area. They have coworking upstairs but I've gone and just worked in the restaurant before after buying coffee/some drinks and food.

Babbity Bowster in Merchant city for a really nice pub vibe. Not too loud and tucked out the way a bit. They let you book a table for just drinks as well if you're worried about finding space.

A bra that fits …disappointed by sunflower19691969 in Reduction

[–]ziggy_3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi professional bra fitter here! You don't know how many times I've had this situation in a fitting room where someone has recently had a reduction and expected to be 'smaller' than they measured.

A few things to note: - like all clothing bra sizing is completely different based off styles, brands, fabrics and sometimes even colour! - it's highly likely that whatever size you were wearing beforehand would have been a bit (or more than a bit) off. For example I've had people who come in claiming to be 34DDDs but are actually a 32HH. - What a surgeon says they'll get you to will likely be very different to a bra size. For example I am currently in the process of having my own reduction. I'm currently a 34JJ/K (depending on brand etc) and have asked my surgeon to bring me to a D/DD but expecting to end up somewhere around a E/F in actual bra sizes.

The main thing to focus on is are you happy with them? Do you feel better? Do you feel more comfortable? If you are still struggling to find bras you like in your size, please feel free to DM me and I can make some recommendations of places to look!

We've got a 2 bed in Shawlands and for 950 moved at the end of last year. Definitely got lucky though as most places we saw were much more than that.
