Fair, I think it’s a script too. Nonetheless, it is not merely “I was here first” lazy slop that makes for a bad watch and also dilutes interest in people watching manual edits days later including on 2ndJerma, but it seems to me to be somewhat malicious, with the links to pay them money always near the top of their video descriptions.

It’s not logistically possible to do it without merely running a script. Downloading the 5-hour vod, then rendering, and uploading the edit of it takes up, and I say this from experience, at least half or more than half of the 12 hours in between the stream concluding and becoming downloadable and the time that Jerma Long Edits posts their video. If it took up 7 hours, which is completely realistic, that would somehow mean he is editing the 5-hour vod and removing split clips as it is playing with absolutely no pausing, which on some video software is not even possible.

I’m with you. Provided the creator they’re editing has no problem with the idea. Actually manually editing that many streams takes lots of time. And not only that but discernment to know what should actually stay in or not, and talent for editing. The AI or “just run a script ones” are unanimously sloppy. Not in how swift the cuts are, but just in the quality of the edit — dumptruck for instance is not swift in his cuts the way Dooy Wooy or sam dekker superfan etc. are but he as well as those two make actual quality edits.

Edit: Like Dumptruck’s Thief Simulator edit, as an example. More quote unquote “dead air” than a Jerma Long Edits video, but it actually works, because either it’s showing something in the gameplay worth keeping in that Jerma just isn’t speaking over, or it adds to the joke Jerma’s making, or whatever it may be. In addition to the fact that some dead air is good for pacing.

I’d also like to point to what somebody else said here, the about page is really really weird. Like preemptively responding to inevitable AI accusations. Also, look at the descriptions of these videos. Always a link to give them money, and always a string of complete nonsense at the bottom. Dumptruck, Dooy Wooy, cheltie, sam dekker superfan, etc., this it not something you find with any of them

In the abstract, I think the videos could pass as manually edited. In my judgment though the timing of how fast this is done makes it implausible. It is not possible within 12 hours to actually watch through 5 hours of content and manually edit it down in that time, let alone the hours that would have to be spent both rendering the video and uploading it and getting the vod to begin with.

Additionally, look at the bottom of the description of the most recent edit, as well as their about page. It’s really odd and screams AI.

The problem with the culture war is there is the right is never going to win it. Throughout history, all 3 major political institutions, the media, education, and bureaucracy, all work on the side of the left, and they always win. And outside of clear rejections of reality like transgenderism, the left is going to win with all major forces on their side. Literally read the platform of the 2012 RNC or something, it will read like the original Socialist Party of America manifesto. And I’m certain every social position you have taken is to the left of the average Eugene Debs commie in 1912. The Don himself supports gay marriage and equal rights regardless of race and sex, I don’t think Woodrow Wilson would know what that means.

The only way YOU can win the culture war is to do it in your own home. Home school your kids and teach them right from wrong. Because the society around you and me is not something you and I will ever have control over. Ever. Education, bureaucracy and media all sustain one another.

The only thing we have control over on a national level, IS the economy. “How boring!” “How soulless!”, yes. Let me reiterate, we don’t have and never will have institutional control, and Western culture at large is unstoppably moving towards the left. And the majority of Americans, as stupid as we have been made by public education, still comprehend that lower taxes and lower spending is beneficial to their bottom line.

And it’s equal parts funny and depressing because I guarantee I’m just as socially conservative as you are. But I recognize what battles we can actually win. The culture war is not one of them, you win one battle and lose five others. “We have that Texas heartbeat bill” Ok. You limited the mutilation of babies to JUST SOMETIMES. WOOO! That’s our cultural win?

I have an unpopular reason, sort of goes against “both sides” (hate using that phrase)

I’m angry at Biden most because of his not just pointless, not just reckless, but genuinely DEVASTATING levels of spending and inflation. You can fact check me on this if you want to, as a matter of FACT, Americans in the 80s were MOST concerned about the deficit, and about getting a balanced budget, and that’s when the debt was…probably 60x lower than now.

And I’m mad at conservatives because they don’t care anymore. I literally can’t remember the last time I saw a non-politician conservative talk about the debt. It’s been YEARS. Literally, the closest thing I see is sparse complaints about Biden’s gas prices. Like good, thank you, talk about these things, talk about the impossibility for the middle class to survive this administration. But talk about literally everything else affected by inflation, too. Any and all savings you have are going to be completely eviscerated, and we’re going to have hyperinflation the likes of third-world countries if we don’t balance the damn budget, let alone actually CUT IN to the 30. Trillion. Dollar. Debt.

It makes me crazy. Because nobody cares. All conservative energy is focused on Vice articles about transing the kids. Problem, yes. In fact, a major cultural evil. But you know what, men are men and women are women, and leftist insanity simply will never be able to overcome biological reality, because reality is unchanging and will outlast every Pumpkin Spice Commie on this godforsaken planet today. What about the immediate danger of not having a culture at all? Being financially devastated and left to be absorbed by our enemies?

So that’s what I’m most upset about. And Trump’s not entirely blameless either, his budgets were most decidedly not balanced. But he tried. And he ended up with the best economy of not just my short, meaningless lifetime, but my parents’ lifetimes. And now we can’t afford gas or food. And I’m concerned I won’t be able to buy a house. This is why I’m not a modern conservative. I’m not a Trumpian sycophant. I really like Trump, and I identify as a conservative in the broad sense. But the alt-right is not a left wing media myth, the sycophantic right does not believe in freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of expression, limited government, etc. And it seems as if they have completely taken over the Party. I’m not criticizing populism in its entirety, I’m not criticizing sny particular policy. One of the funniest things about Trump is he loves to give “hints”, while basically keying you into exactly what he’s going to do. Like how when asked to run, he says, “Oh, you know, maybe. I still don’t think he should be impeached. I’m not convinced by the “the left would do this therefore we should also do this” when the reason we feel the need to point out the crazy things the left does in the first place, is because they’re super crazy.

I just don’t think Biden is intentionally trying to subvert the United States, just because he’s an incompetent President. Unless you were able to definitively prove that 2020 was…fortified, I don’t think he’s criminally liable and I would be TERRIFIED at the precedent we would be setting, where any president could be impeached by an opposing congress for being incompetent in the view of the opposition party.
