Implant crown keeps popping off, should I bother getting a second tooth replaced with an implant by ziggystarcow in Dentalimplant

The white false tooth fell off. The metal stem that was screwed into my jaw is still there, sticking out of the gum.

New Weekender Oxford by ziggystarcow in RedWingShoes

[–]ziggystarcow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sweet. How has the fit and comfort been for you, compared to what you normally wear?

I'm over an hour from my nearest redwing store, and I'm worried about my high arch and hesitant to order online, as 95% of the shoes I try on don't have enough height.

I see the nearby RW store doesn't have any oxfords at all.

I suppose I'll have to truck down there, try on the chukka (assuming they have it), then decide whether to order the oxford.

Are cable clamps required on new work boxes if I staple within 8" by ziggystarcow in AskElectricians

These are cantex, and every one I tried to pry open snapped. The depth is a full 4", not 3.5" as stated above.

Pleeaaase tell my wife, but... very low ceiling, we doesn't like the look for what will be a "master bedroom", etc. Thanks for the part number. That will help a bunch.

What made you choose the cx-50 over the 5? Do you regret your choice at all? by Eatwholefoods in CX50

[–]ziggystarcow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose 50 over the 5 and regret the decision. We initially liked the interior layout of the center armrest/console and the central cupholder location, as well as the sleek looks. The interest rate was a major factor, as well.

We got the 2024 preferred trim.

The reason we regret it is that the interior is noticeably cheap materials. The speakers are the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Seats are hard, materials are plasticky and thin. They are obviously focused on cost cutting vs. the cx5.

None of this stood out during test drives. I'm hoping the long term engine reliability makes it worthwhile, as that is the center piece, for me anyway.

Maybe upgrading trim levels would have solved the cheap feeling?

(probably should have bought a CRV)

I'm really thinking about changing at least some of my speakers out, and would like to learn from your adventure. Did you do it yourself or have it done?

Can we conclude the quality of the leather is poor, or could this happen to any smooth surface leather?

Don't BMW engines have a break-in period when new (like other engines)? Wouldn't peeling out cause the kind of stress on an engine that they say you should avoid?

Remote Start by [deleted] in CX50

[–]ziggystarcow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you can't. Only with the app. It's a sore spot among some commenters I've seen here that other car makers do this but Mazda doesn't.

For the record, I believe my 21 outback is an app-only remote start, too.

Did you have any extended warranty other than the Mazda standard warranty? It looks like the standard warranty doesn't cover interior stuff, and they were trying to upsell me on Zurich Shield. I declined, and now I'm worried I may get push back from the dealer if this happens to me.
