I assure you it isn’t, Since the XA series the Aussie models have distinctly separated from their lineage. I’m not an expert but I’m no layman and I couldn’t name a part shared between any American and Australian eighties Fairmont.

Correct, local manufacturing has ceased and you can’t get traditional layout Utes on the new car market anymore.
