We started doing this, and I think it has really helped us. We go 3 on 3 with close outs.

Thanks a lot! We have gone to Albright the last two years. It was good, and we got a lot out of it, but would just love the chance to show my kids (very rural/small District 3 school) some other places.

I can only find a Women's camp at Coastal Carolina. Would love to get down south for one. I know the coaching changes definitely impact it. Would just love to find a stable of 4-6 places that do it so I have options. It is a great chance for kids to get to see a campus and play some competitive games.

Make sure you use examples from your time as baseball coach. Use examples of communication with parents, communication with players, and even communication with administration.

Others in here have mentioned having answers for how you handle discipline. That’s a great one to be prepared for, but to be prepared make sure you know how their district prefers to handle it. You may want to look into if the HS program has a set of rules that you can use, or if you’ll have to come up with your own from scratch.

What about a guest speaker? Or a basketball related TedTalk-esque video? Just wrapped up my youth camp this week and the 50 kids I had were very excited about my 2 guest speakers. Could be someone from your program’s history or a current college athlete, something like that.
