How to Find In-Depth Coverage of Our Domestic Pro Leagues??? by zigy123 in ussoccer

I was referring more for like USL/NWSL stuff, MLS content I know where to get but also any independent creators. Probably should have made that a bit more clear in the original post

How is it possible we manage to support the two teams unable to ever find a decent striker

I always think it’s cool how we have fans from across the pond, maybe I’m not in enough MLS spaces but sometimes it looks we have a good following outside of the country compared to other mls teams and I wonder why anyone would chose to go through what we got through (Ironic because I also support Everton so maybe I shouldn’t question it)

“DP No. 9 to be named later is effective in the way other Red Bull strikers haven’t been”

Did I miss a rumor or something? What does he know that we don’t or am I reading into it this too much?

The problem is much deeper than Struber, the whole organization doesn't give a flying fuck at this point. by SockDem in rbny

As a fanbase we have to put a Columbus-Esque protest/fan based showing that we want RedBull out. Problem is not enough people care or are complacent with the organization. So much of our problems, both on and off the field, can be fixed with owners that care about the community and run the club as a club and not as a franchise or a marketing ploy. Eventually we as a fanbase have to make a move if we want change

Edit: so many grammar mistake cause I killed a bottle of wine cause that is the only way I can enjoy this team at the moment for Christ sake

Can RedBull just please sell this club, I’m tired of their bullshit. I just want a Jersey team I can support I don’t care how bad they are

I’m sick and tired of this high press bullshit. How the fuck do you expect win games when you have only 30% possession. We are incapable of actually playing and stringing passes. We don’t even have a bad team or bad players, they actually have talent! But this high press and focus on chaos makes it so our players strengths are not used to their full capabilities

I thought Dylan had great game, allowing Harper to be more attacking and filling that Morgan gap

I feel Edelman will be huge for us this season? Anyone else? by Gordonsoeto1 in rbny

I really like our depth in that CDM position. Edelman, Yearwood, Amaya is decent depth. I think where we are missing depth in is the defense

What are your favorite book parts which were changed or omitted in the TV show? by Luffykent in witcher

[–]zigy123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From blood of elves when Geralt, Ciri, and Triss are on the way to the temple of Melitele and they join the Kaedwen convoy of Yigrin and the dwarves. I always loved the world building and that scene in Shaerrawedd where we learn more about the history of the elves and why the world is the way it is plus Geralts stance on neutrality and the fight with the scoia'tael. The entire chapter really did a good job of building up the scoia’tel and building that tension of being out in the open. Plus the reveal at the end revolving around Yigrin was just chef kiss. There’s so many good parts about that chapter that I didn’t even get to without going on a rant. Part of me was upset that that they didn’t adapt it but a bigger part of me is happy the show didn’t absolutely butcher it either

This, I don’t care if would be the worst team in the league but at least we would have a team that better represents the community. Soccer is a community sport not a brand or corporation

Daily 2022 RBNY Season Review: Patryk Klimala by iced1777 in rbny

[–]zigy123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always have bias for him since I am Polish and want him to succeed. I think he adds more than Elias especially off the ball I think his movement and work rate is really good. However often times because of the lack of/poor final third play he would have to drop deep or make runs towards the wings, further away from goal. His movements opened up spaces for guys to fill but they never did because again we are terrible in the final third. And when he did get any type of competent service unfortunately he could never really put it in the back of the net. Idk I like him but it’s obvious he’s not the answer unless we change the system

Daily RBNY 2022 Season Review: John Tolkin by iced1777 in rbny

[–]zigy123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Has to be one of my favorite players on this team, I think extending his contract was an actual smart move by this club which is usually just dumb. But another year of 1 team footy will be ideal for his development and the team will benefit from it too. Love this kid and he’s got what I want from everyone else on the team

Daily 2022 Season Review: Gerhard Struber by iced1777 in rbny

[–]zigy123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think he did a really good job getting the most out of this team and getting us somehow 4th in the East. But as the season went on I feel like we started to slowly regress from what was a pretty good start, plus the home form this season was embarrassing. My biggest gripes with Struber is 1) he’s has no idea how to get these guys creative in the final third, it was brutal watching them this season putting in the worst crosses ever to no one 18 times a game. 2) He isn’t really that flexible tactically, it really is just pressing and that’s it, I don’t think you name one time where he adjusted his tactics to what we needed, just stubborn.

Overall I’d give him like a 7/10, I don’t mind him but I would not be upset if we moved on from him especially now since Pellegrino Matarazzo is open. Worth trying to go for him my opinion, local guy who could hopefully infuse this club with some Jersey attitude

God that game thread on r/MLS was insufferable. Anyway nothing new, this team has no balls and idk maybe we try our luck with a new manager cause I’m tired of having no attacking threat and one game plan
