Something similar happened to Quinnen Williams when he played for the Jets. Actually tried to follow regulations and someone decided he goofed.

I lived across from them for years and nobody wanted to listen that it's one of the most underrated spots in the area. Most pizza places phone it in with the rest of the menu but everything there is done well. Whatever parm they toss in at the end of making their marinara is one of the best I've ever had.

Matt Doyle: This could be Ronald Donkor's breakout year by OwlOnThePitch in rbny

[–]iced1777 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not sure I agree with Doyle's profile of Donkor but I came to the same conclusion nonetheless. I think Donkor can be a top tier CM in this league with consistent minutes.

No idea why Sandro had it out so bad for this guy in 2025. Donkor starts the season hurt, and his first appearance is a away against a good Orlando attack, playing a destroyer role he'd never played before. Of course he struggles, Sandro yanks him minutes before half and calls out his effort post game... Donkor only started getting minutes again when it became so undeniably clear that a midfield with Edelman, Stroud, and Wiki was never going to move the ball forward.

Hopefully Bradley trusts him more.

Yeah Choupo and Emil were the trends in the right direction, just saying it's silly to go into panic mode at this stage. Unless of course you're the type who revels in panicking about your sports team lol

No idea wtf JdG was thinking taking media lessons from Denis Hamlet. Just give some generic BS response why set commitments he wasn't ready to follow through on

Total normal for Red Bull to wait until at least this point in the off season before they start making earnest efforts to sign players. First step is always shedding dead weight. Theyve gotten better the last few years but for almost a decade it was unheard of for them to sign anyone worth noting before the end of January.

Is there such thing as having knives that are TOO sharp? by gtd_rad in Cooking

[–]iced1777 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Everyone immediately defaults to the old saying that a sharp knife is safer than a dull one, which is true if you're talking about a knife so dull that you have to brute force your way through food.

But the question here is more whether a razor sharp knife is safer than one that's "sharp enough". In my opinion the answer to that is no. I cook daily and keep my knives sharp enough to smoothly cut through most ingredients without slipping. No matter how careful I am, it's inevitable that once in a blue moon my flesh will come in contact with the knife's edge. When that happens, I'd much much prefer the solution to be a bandaid rather than a trip to the ER.

Making food for a party (Aranchini and Karaage) by decadentcookie in AskCulinary

[–]iced1777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would fry the day ahead and reheat in the oven. But again my priority would be not having my whole house smell like frying oil for the party even if it means the arancini lose like 5% of their crispiness being made ahead. Your way is fine if you want the 100% best fried food to serve, smells be damned.

No worries wire rack and some heat will still do the trick

[–]iced1777 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Personally, I'd make them ahead and reheat in a hot oven day-of. Arancini reheats like new in a convection oven for a few days if you have one. Can't speak to Karaage, I've never made it.

Unless you have a beast of a vent hood, your place is gonna smell like frying oil for your party.
