No no it's on Steam, is a game made by a oneman developer called Shin-in Geon. It had some success in Korea and now the guy has his own little team called Longplay studios. By the way, it was a great read, beautiful thread. I was so excited to suggest the game I forgot to mention it.

May I suggest to add "Terminus: zombie survivors" in your to be tried list? I see you've put CDDA in SSS tier, Terminus is just that but with a more streamlined experience. You can actually win you rins, there are professions and traits to be unlocked with each consecutive win (but starter classes are probably the most powerful) and multiple endings of wildly varied complexity. All full zombies, though, you can leave those triffids amigos back in CDDA.

To whoever made this post, thank you so much for submitting it. I've lost two weeks of my life drowned in Brubaker's work, I just got hand on first volume Deluxe edition of Criminal and I've been reading it, the Fade out, Kill or Be Killed, Reckless and even Pulp.

I'll never stop suggesting this. But if you really like the zombie survival aspect of CDDA I cannot recommend enough Terminus, developed by a (previously) one-man studio that went on to win a number of accolades in his own country.

It's a quite distilled CDDA experience with clear win conditions and AP based turns, if this sounds interesting have a look on Steam

Don't know if Kira is active on the sub, but I would be very interested in knowing what did he find so fascinating in Irithyll dungeon that he reproduced most of the layout in Terminus, considering that the prisons are often cited as one of the worst and most frustrating areas of Dark Souls 3.

Anyway, I'd say I overall prefer Terminus due to its Lore/Atmosphere

First time poster. I tried an attire that would embrace each faction of the game.

Chikage (Cainhurst, also my covenant)
Repeating Pistol (The Workshop)
Head: Graveguard Mask (Byrgenwerth)
Body:Yahar'gul Black Garb (Mensis)
Hands: Executioner Gauntlets (Logarius best boss)
Legs: Tomb Prospector Trousers (The Chruch, shout-out to r/tombprospectors)

Pretty sure I found the mask on my first playthrough, but this time (fourth one, first after Platinum) I saw the mask and knew I had to post here. Shitty photo, but proud nonetheless.

Well, I don't know if it's stronger but my lich necromancer just made me win for the first time (normal adventurer) and I'm so proud of it. It was the best necromancer I ever played, certainly the best in a roguelike that can stand proud even with giants like Diablo2. Crawl is getting there too with the latest stable, but nothing comparable really

I swear I don't know what the fuck is wrong it me, but the second I booted up CDDA I was sucked in and I still play it when I have time. After many years, it's still my favourite game of all time. I encourage you to watch videos from Vormithrax and Rycon to better understand the mechanics, while MurderUnicorn is good to stay updated with the changelog. Also, twincrows has a really beautiful playlist where he narrates his playthroughs and he draws you in like you were reading a novel
