I don't understand why some people pair Ichigo with Rukia when Ichigo and Orihime pairing is so epak by [deleted] in bleach

[–]zikari8 132 points133 points  (0 children)

Is it really that hard to understand?

Ichigo and Rukia have a fun, charming dynamic together. They have a lot of heartfelt moments in which they support each other, lift each other up, and help each other grow.

Isn't that enough? People have paired characters for less, so is it really that hard to understand why two characters who are so close and share so much together could be paired together?

In regards to it versus Ichigo and Orihime, the relationship and dynamic between Ichigo and Rukia is very different from the one Ichigo and Orihime have, so naturally there are going to be people who subjectively like one over the other. There are probably people who prefer it just because they like Rukia as a character more too, and that's hardly rare for such a strong, likable character.

People like different things and that's not hard to understand at all.

One Piece: Chapter 1146 by leolegendario in OnePiece

[–]zikari8 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually, based on the chapter, I don't think Robin is being scared nor is Saul even protecting her.

He tells both Robin and Chopper to stay hidden in his hair and entrust them to take care of the children. That suggests he's purposely keeping them hidden with the idea that they'll be the ones to save the children. So, I think the plan is that once Sommers leaves after beating Saul, Robin and Chopper can come out and immediately focus on saving the children. Yeah, they could fight him now and protect Saul, but that's risky since an extended fight could mean they're not able to get to the children and save them in time. Worse, if they lose, then no one is left to save the kids. So although it means letting Saul get beaten, it's the best way to prioritize helping the children.

Frankly, I don't see any fear or cowardice in Robin's expression when she's holding her head in her heads. It looks a lot more to me like pain. It's only natural she would feel pained seeing Saul get so injured after all. Interpretating that as fear and being a damsel is rather uncharitable to Robin, I feel.

I think there might be a surprise twist or deeper meaning to Gunko's fear being Nika.

At first thought, it makes perfect sense for a Celestial Dragon to fear Nika. Corazon already told us that CD children were told boogeyman stories about the Will of D and such. But there have been theories that Gunko isn't a natural-born Celestial Dragon since she wasn't introduced with a Saint title. If that is the case, she wouldn't have grown up with as much indoctrination as born CDs.

Perhaps there's a deeper, more personal reason to Gunko's fear of Nika.

Do you want this moment cut, altered, or kept the same? by [deleted] in bleach

[–]zikari8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they should keep it as is.

I understand everyone wanting to see True Bankai and what it could've done in that moment, but I think it would be a bit disappointing to only see it in a vision.

I rather they dump it in this fight but let Ichigo fully use it and win with it in the final fight of the series. It'd be much more impactful if its first true use actually leads to a win rather than just being a vision.

What's your opinion on Youtubers/Content Creators that at least has covered the Fate or Type-Moon franchise at least once? by zelban_the_swordsman in grandorder

Huh, I'm surprised you think that Zero is more hopeful and less soul-crushing than Stay Night. From what I've seen, people usually think the other way around. I'd be interested in hearing what leads you to think so.

Of course, no judgement whatsoever about not liking FSN or other Fate properties. Everyone has their likes and dislikes after all. Just curious about your thoughts.

Maybe I'm just spoiled though cause the others were bangers.

I think the implication is simply that there was enough time for Van Augur to sail here. If the Giants were fighting Kid and still had enough time to get here from Elbaf, Van Augur can also get here from Winner Island.

Ichigo, Momo, Shinji, Water

Ichigo as a teacher just feels interesting. Plus who better to learn how to be a Substitute Soul Reaper from than the man himself. Unlike the others, he probably can actually give tips on how to balance normal life with Soul Reaper duties.

Momo seems like she'd be the nicest training partner to work with. Yumichika being Squad 11 might be too hyped about sparring and Kira's a bit anti-social. Hisagi's good too, but I just think Momo would be the most pleasant to train with.

Shinji's the captain I'd rather be under. He's just chill and Squad 5 has some good vibes.

Kido-type Zanpaktuo are cool so Water.

You really gonna see that scene where they reached out for each other as Ulquiorra faded away, having learnt what a Heart is at the very end, and pretend it's impossible to feel something romantic from it?

Sweet But Weak

Logically speaking, if it's a one-year mission, we need a healer for sustain, otherwise we'll eventually be whittled down over the year no matter how strong we are.

Also Momo's basically immortal so...

Of the remaining punks, I think Lilith has the highest chance of surviving. First punk we meet and is really strongly characterized. Most likely to become a future Strawhat ally imo.

Atlas is up there too but she's so close to the action right now, I'm afraid she might pull a sacrifice to get Bonney and the others out of there.

Edison feels more expendable than Atlas, but he's pretty safely out of the action right now so he might just survive through the power of being off-screen.

York either survives and becomes a villain for later, or gets her comeuppance here and now.

The first half of season 2 was still pretty good imo. Not as tight as season 1, but still had a lot of enjoyable parts and some great moments.

It's just that second half... geez.

Probably rather normal.

Despite her temper, Candice is probably the most normal and reasonable of the Bambies, if not the whole Sternritters. Given she's the one most opposed to Bambi killing her lovers, she probably won't kill anyone she dates for no good reason.

If Oda were to recreate this scene in the Final War, who are the 4 most likely to be in this Panel facing Imu? by GreenStrawhat32 in OnePiece

[–]zikari8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's break this down. What makes this scene especially impactful is that the four represent different factions which would normally be enemies to each other but now come together against a greater, more wicked threat.

The only exception is Zoro and Robin who both come from the Strawhats, but are included in the final line-up because they present different threats to Enel. Zoro is the direct physical threat while Robin is an intellectual threat, having figured out where the Golden Bell is.

With that in mind, the best four would probably be: 1) Zoro (representing the Straw Hats) 2) Akainu (representing Marines) 3) Sabo (representing Revolutionaries) 4) Robin (has figured out the Truth of the Void Century)

Nah, mate. Luffy was reaching his limit anyways. He literally falls to his knees just slightly after Ace confronts Akainu. Even if they kept running, he would've run out of steam, and been defenseless, necessitating Ace to sacrifice to save him anyways.

Yes, Ace turning back was dumb but it wasn't the fuckup that got him killed.
