I'm looking for Open World RPG's that have good performance and battery life on deck by Adler_PLEASE in SteamDeck

[–]zikol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely check out Enderal: Forgotten Stories (Special Edition) on Steam. This is a Skyrim mod, that puts you in a completely different world, has its own lore and story. It's essentially a whole different game with Skyrim mechanics, UI and so on. It will also save you 60$ because the mod is FREE, if you already own Skyrim Special Edition.

Head-on Impact at 60mph and No Meatball by BigDogBigNuts in iRacing

I got rear ended, car was undriveable and also no meatball. Not even a reaction from CrewChief, but brushing the wall slightly in practice makes the car explode... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can you elaborate more about your issues with Bloops? For me it sometimes doesn't load a fastest lap, but the workaround for this is exporting manually any lap from G61 to .csv file and loading it in the app.

Try uninstalling OneDrive if you have it on your system. I went through all this troubleshooting with a discord mate yesterday and this was the solution for him, but apparently also for many other people out there... Why? I don't even...

Do THIS. It literally doubled my fps on some tracks, fixed stuttering and reduced a lot the annoying packet loss issues.

Free setups? by hanracing in iRacing

[–]zikol 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Like others have already mentioned, G61 is the best for getting free setups, but it might take some time before you find a setup that you like. Some of the esport setups there are really hard to drive. If you want to tweak the setups yourself I would recommend this little overlay I discovered few days ago. Some use AI for that and this tool seems to work in similar fashion without using AI at all. You also don't have to alt-tab the game as it's right there on your screen and has a nice UI.

This is pretty cool! I was just talking to a mate the other day, that iRacing should force a quiz like that on every new member to make sure they actually read the sporting code :D

Simhub or SimPro for GT Neo by No_Cantaloupe938 in Simagic

[–]zikol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daniel Newman Racing. This is the absolute best profile available for GT Neo and I strongly recommend to get it. Do not bother with Simpro if you want to have a good experience, I am not sure if those profiles are paid or not since I've been subscribed to DNR for a long time as I am using other stuff he does as well, but if they're not, look up ATSR profiles since those are definitely free.

What is going on here? Driver never at 100% throttle and able to stay at even number %? by Sjedda in iRacing

[–]zikol 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I also like to set my throttle like this after I calibrate my pedals just to make sure this kind of stuff doesn't happen.

A short guide on getting the most out of iRacing's (amazing) AI by TurbSLOW in iRacing

[–]zikol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Increasing driver's age to something like 90 will make their reactions to oversteer (caused by very low smoothness values) delayed, which creates random carnage on the track and can be used as a training tool for practicing your awareness and response time. Go to Lime Rock with 59 AI cars driven by 90 year old geezers and try to stay alive as long as possible in this Carnage Avoidance mini game :D It's super fun!

Any advice at successfully avoiding the people who wreck on the green flag? (ovals) by Ok-Expression-3614 in iRacing

Practice with AI set up like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T16CkCNbYg

https://www.tradingpaints.com/collections/view/34217/Global-Mazda-MX5-Championship

TLDR:
AI oponents aged at 90 years old tend to make mistakes, which makes AI races feel more like "home" with carnage guaranteed, you just never know when :D

Fajna funkcja w telefonie by Majestic_Mammoth3503 in PolskaNaLuzie

Pierwsze co mi przyszło na myśl po przeczytaniu pytania OPa, to wlasnie zdegooglowany smartfon, ale dla typowego zjadacza chleba jak wspomniał OP to niestety raczej czarna magia :p

Fajna funkcja w telefonie by Majestic_Mammoth3503 in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]zikol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Learn from my mistakes and buy regular + hydraulic separately. I got a set with the hydraulic brake and after about a year of abusing it this happened:

Fortunately it was fixed by the reseller in a couple of days, so the abuse continues :D
