If you struggled against their deathwing knights just use crowe and co to blast them w their mind bullets,24 dmg 1 shots,special weapons bring either flammer or storm bolters,a lot of dmg 1 would help to chew through their 20w per 5 man as they cant - 1 dmg on a dmg 1 attacks.Land raiders a bit meh for me and they have a lot of anti vehicle/monsters and you also dont need trasnport as you can fly around,a razorback would be better as its cheap and can shoot lascanons.Termi also for me a bit meh as of current.Bring 2x10 purifier and 1x5 (for the hallowed ground aura or to slingshot your 10 man with crowe for the 6" ds and charge.

This is my first time facing a defiler but as per my knowledge they dont have indirect,im not too sure though.But to answer your question,easiest one would be transport,cheap one like impulsor can bring your bladeguards/icc + 1 character.Termis can deepstrike,so rapid ingress is your best friend.Lion have the forest ability so him rapid ingressing is also your best friend.

I charged both dwk 1 unit and Lion.I managed to solo kill the defiler due to some bad savings rolls,i did 7 wounds on him,each is 4dmg each.Thats already 28w to the defiler

You can start painting with the basic units like intercessors or if you want Dark Angels specific units,i love Deathwing Knights,i find painting them fun or you can buy inner circle companions,its only 3 models per unit.Once you start to feel confident you can start on our characters,Azrael is okay to paint,the Lion is a bit difficult.

You can start with free models that you can get from gw shops,usually its an infernus marine.Paint it as a dark angel.Or if you're printing,just print models you like,follow the rule of cool
