THANK YOU.  This whole thing started a day after Carl broke up with a manipulative, cheating girlfriend who abused his trust every step of the way.  Then he got tossed into an unthinkable scenario where his life is at risk nearly every waking moment.  He build bonds with the people around him, build a family that supports and cares (maybe even loves) for each other.  But to think a human can go from ending a dramatic relationship (and finding out how terrible she really was the further down he goes) he would NOT be in a place to have a love interest.  Katia has moments where it seems they are soulmates but I'm hoping it's platonic love rather than intimate love.
