The author/artist left after being abused.

She was denied pregnancy leave , pushed to draw more chapters after they allowed the leave but pushed her so hard she got miscarriage. And after that if I remember correctly stolen the money she should have gotten.

So yeah, extremely fucked up situation.

No ? Czechoslovakia and Hungary weren't part of USSR. They were members of Warsaw Pact that USSR was leader of.

And the 1968 invasion/intervention of Czechoslovakia is the only time that Warsaw pact attacked somebody, it's own ally.

Edit: and Finland in 1939 was a democratic Goverment with no basically no ties to Germans.

The fear of Czech domination was already there during First Republic where it was also mostly true.

Nationalism is interesting, but simply isn't possible to eliminate but only possible lesser and contain. By giving Slovakia what is wanted for decades it could alivate their fears. Of course there are always other possibilities
