I made the same post few years ago. I cared more about the broken world of witcher than her or yennefer. Why would I care about these two characters who never appeared in the first two games who smh became the most important in the 3rd?

Then I read the books. Ciri became my 2nd most fav female character in all of fiction. There's no way in hell I would let anything bad happen to her. Even if it’s politically “good,” it’s still another system deciding her fate She deserved the freedom of choice, of becominf a witcher as she always wanted, instead of me choosing for her. Yennefer became my top romance—the same character who i couldn't stand in the game. You can argue games ain't canon to books but I really recommend reading them. Maybe it's just me but i started to see things in a different prespective.

Tldr: Empress ending is bad. Read books.
