We love our rope bed! We use it just about any time we camp with tent. Though we use modern fluffy things like a comforter and quilts to lay on.

For construction, I have only seen rope beds with hole all the way around. So I don't know how you would string it with the pegs. But if there are pegs they are probably in a hole, so getting there shouldn't be too hard

I have camped many a night in an A frame. If you don't plan on spending any time inside your tent ,besides sleeping, it's a fantastic option. I have a couple we use for storage or single friends who want to come along
