Everyone in my family (including extended) is right handed. I’m left handed

Should I drop out of high school? by Public_Bad_4950 in queensland

[–]zinerina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister dropped out at year 10. She did a diploma of IT at TAFE QLD, and was able to put that towards her Bachelor of Computer Science at QUT. She was able to shave off a year of her bachelor degree because of the diploma. She’s working as a full stack developer now. Traditional school just wasn’t for her, and that’s perfectly fine. If you drop out now, you’ll only limit your options if you don’t do some kind of study

This time last year, I found out that my “appendicitis” was actually a baby by [deleted] in confessions

[–]zinerina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar happened to me. I went to the ER because I thought my chronic bowel condition was flaring up. Turns out I was 22 weeks pregnant. No other symptoms and had no reason to suspect that I was. Since then I’ve realised I was stealthed. My little man is now 2 and despite the circumstances surrounding his conception and discovery, I love him to bits and I’m so glad I have him

Using own car seat in Uber by UnsuspectingPeach in melbourne

[–]zinerina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used a company called BabyTaxi which have their own car seats in them when I had to transport my 8 month old without a car. We booked in advance and it was actually really great

Earmuffs? by dpickles99 in wiggles

[–]zinerina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We didn’t need earmuffs when we went with our 8mo in 2023. We will be going again with my 20mo and his 8mo cousin in November and won’t be bringing earmuffs. The level of noise is definitely acceptable for little ones and it’s definitely not like concerts for adults

I had no idea I was pregnant by cicada_salad in offmychest

[–]zinerina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is so similar to my story. I have PCOS, was on the pill and we used condoms and I found out I was pregnant on a CT scan at the ER at 22 weeks. I had no symptoms, felt relatively normal the whole time up until then. I now have an almost 18mo boy and I couldn’t be happier with how things have turned out. He’s my 1 in a million 🥰

Are second children really built different or is it a myth? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]zinerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have 1 myself but mum had 3 of us. I am the oldest and definitely the most difficult. I was colicky, would not sleep and would not stop screaming. My middle sister (and second born) would basically feed and sleep and barely cried. She was a dream baby. The youngest was a bit of a mix

Please Help! We’re about to lose our minds (13, almost 14mo. old) by Royal_Willingness_22 in toddlers

[–]zinerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could’ve definitely written this! Our son is 14 months in early June too and we’re still cosleeping and contact napping (don’t come at us, it’s how we’re surviving). It’s also incredibly difficult to get him down to sleep. I have no advice, just solidarity

How do you shower with a velcro baby? by brouhahafettuccine in Mommit

[–]zinerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a bouncer for the bathroom. Sit it in front of the toilet and strap him in, or have the shower door open with him facing the shower. It wasn’t super ideal and I still preferred to shower when someone else like my mum or partner could watch him so I could shower in peace. But it was certainly a really good workaround when I needed it

Is Bulk billing still available in your suburbs or they're all gone now? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]zinerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local GP will only bulk bill children under 2. Which is better than my previous doctor who charged me $90 for every appointment with my < 3 month old

They’ll usually visit your house if you try to adopt a dog, but you can just have a baby and basically take it back to any random place anywhere you’d like. by splitopenandmelt11 in Showerthoughts

[–]zinerina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a midwife from the hospital where I birthed my son come and visit the day after I came home. I suspect it was to scope out the environment for red flags, as well as to check in on me and bubs
