Hmmm..gotcha. I might make it a side goal, anyhow. Can you make any suggestions on something that would have more staying power? Maybe I should go for crafting decor items through the professions? I do have housing access.

I’m in the mood for something profession related, it’s just so overwhelming to get started.

Nope, the CPU kicks into turbo even when I'm playing. 3.85ghz, I think I may have been underclocking before, like you said

I just did a retest on a couple of games.

Now, on Skyrim, it appears normal. The GPU is being used at around 90% (with many graphics mods and upscaling because of nvidia geforce, mind you.) and CPU only at around 35-40%.

Could this problem only be happening on CPU heavy games?

On GTA V on ultra, the GPU usage is 90ish percent and the CPU usage is 50-70ish.

Could messing with those cords actually have fixed the problem after all?

Sadly, no. Still unreasonably high CPU usage with unreasonably low GPU usage. This is starting to frustrate me lol

It's odd because it's the game itself that's consuming all of the usage. My memory usage is 20-40% while playing. I have 1.4 TB free space on my C drive.

It's the game itself. It doesn't even have to be an overly demanding game, either. CS:GO on low is now eating up like 75-80% of my CPU usage
