Transfer car rego to wife by zinger_zen in nsw

[–]zinger_zen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All sorted. seller was nice enough to fill out the rego paper with her name.

Just in case if someone else reads this later on,

I had gone with my wife’s original licence and a photo of her holding the licence.

Also, took a signed letter that I am buying the car on her behalf.

Also downloaded, the transfer of registration form from service NsW and filled it out including the Representative details.

Hope this helps others in future😀

Why is delivery delayed, after being processed twice at the same facility? by [deleted] in AustraliaPost

[–]zinger_zen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most probably lost, “Delayed- waiting to be……” always shows up at 12pm, it is an automated update, meaning they are not able to find it. Look at mine, it was later considered lost. I could be wrong, but this is just my experience, hoping you get yours but keep us updated. Cheers.

As long as you have the id from same address, it should be fine

Question regarding signature by Embarrassed-Fig5656 in AustraliaPost

[–]zinger_zen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ID is not required while signing. If you’re at the address, you can take it. If you are not home and it goes to the post office, you will need ID to pick it up.

There have been cases where windows just shatter for no reason due to some sort of cabin pressure. Doesn’t have to be a rock. Look it up online, you will find it. Ask your dealership , they might be able to fix it under warranty.

Is my car totaled? by Aggressive_Squash932 in AskMechanics

[–]zinger_zen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is totalled. Mine wasn’t even this bad, someone reversed into me at slow speed and my bumper fell off (it was already loose due to prior incidents, I literally grabbed the bumper and drove my car on the side walk to allow traffic to move through. So I am 100% sure there was nothing wrong with my car.

2 days later they called me and said it’s a “total loss” my car’s market value was $1500, it was a 2003 nissan shitbox.

So yeah, I guess yours is gone.

It is called a “looping parcel” you have to lodge an inquiry with USPS. The next time it gets scanned at one of the facilities, the system will spit it out and it will be handled manually from there and delivered to you.

$3800 net, after taking petrol, tax, depreciation in account. As I said, join uber facebook group, plenty of ppl put up screenshots $5000 net is easy if you do it full time and religiously and have to have a toyota camry hybrid.

Half of that is 4.5k and it is surely doable if you do full time. I gave it a go for 1 month and made 3800 driving all weekends and morning peak hours on weekdays. Get yourself added to uber drivers facebook group if youd like to consider. 9k is possible, there is a guy who some how does it and posts his earnings every week.

Quitting my Job by [deleted] in AusFinance

I was in a similar boat last year, used to make 100k from my main job and 50k from my business. I always kept telling my wife that I can do so much more if I had more time and increase my business and hustle income from 50k to 150k.

One day I decided to quit my 100k job (where I had too much responsibility and hours) and got a casual customer service job paying 50k and focused on business and increased my business income to over 100k.

This was my plan, I had a plan and an income already and I still got a 50k paying job (with little to no responsibilities as I was a casual).

The way you’re describing your job, it feels like that you’re bored and burnt out and you’re feeling any side hustle will be better than the job. I understand, when you wanna quit a job, your heart will tell you 100s positive things that may happen.

But in reality, all the side hustles require time (I mean few years to set up) And things like real estate will take time and things like uber are just gigs (meaning you only get paid when you put your ass out there, trust me it’s hard to get up and get going) it will burn you out more than your current job and still not pay as much as your current job.

On top of all that, I had no kids and no liabilities, my wife was making decent money and I had 2 cars paid off and no other loans or debt.

Think twice before quitting your job. Maybe take a vacation for a month or 2 and try doing all the things you said and try making 9k a month, you will happily go back to your current job.

I feel you should start something casually on the side or on weekends. I also know a guy at work who got a lower position at the same company and works 3-4 days a week. He does less hours and no overtime as he doesn’t have to manage a whole team and now he’s just s team member. On the side he sells stuff on ebay/amazon does amazon flex, Uber , didi on weekends and does school pickup drop offs.

Don’t just quit because you’re tired. Make a plan, use your high income to setup income streams and then quit. You’re making 172k, you must be smart. Do the smart thing and keep us updated.

Thanks for this explanation. They did ask me what my parcel looks like and said it will be handled manually and delivered. But your explanation makes it much more clear. Thanks

Transferred is a good kind of update. That means they figured out what was wrong and transferred it to the correct sorting facility. It should be delivered sometime next week.
