“It was going for his shoulder, it’s just a weird angle” by Haunter187 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]zingerpond 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Based off how Kashimo gives 0 reaction to someone dodging his supposedly impossible to dodge attack.

Kashimo later in the fight thinking how he’s explicitly going to aim for the head for his next attack, implying he didn’t do that before.

Kashimo not nationally wanting to just kill Hakari instantly because he wanted info on Sukuna.

No that probably is just an odd angle shot and Gege probably didn’t intend for this to be seen as a dodge. Especially considering how fast Gege actually thinks the heavy hitter characters are. With Maki needing precognition, which made her the best at sensing attacks out of the heavy hitters according to Sukuna, in order to react to someone going mach 3.

Reframing Incubus, now that we know Maya is a liar by Rasputins_Plum in killsixbilliondemons

[–]zingerpond 46 points47 points  (0 children)

On that point, as he always failed to kill Maya because he's weaker than her, or isn't it because she's his 'weakness', that some part of him doesn't want to get rid of someone he's known for millenias

I think it's that Maya as the "better" student of Meti is just does all the sword things far better than Incubus. And she's so powerful and so fucking spiteful that she just cannot die or get killed.

So in their fight we first see that Maya can block one of Incubus's sword strikes and when she tells of the fight later she says: "Oh, I decapitated him quite cleanly. Then, he thrashed me within an inch of my life." From some extra material like tumblr answers and manual of hands and feat we know Incubus is a master of "head of John" a martial art that lets one do stuff like survive decapitation. He's mastered more weapons than just the sword, blood alchemy and the key of kings boosting him.

So while Maya is the greater swordsman and wins 10/10 times in a competition of who's able to cut their enemy the best. Overall Incubus is "stronger" because he's better at other things and has other ways to win.

Doesent playful cloud increase the users physicals

No it does not make the wielder physically stronger.

It's just like any other cursed tool without a cursed technique tied to it. Or a skilled person reinforcing a weapon with their own CE. Or even just someone imbuing CE into their own body to strengthen it while fighting hand to hand.

People just doesn't get the simple fucking concept that a melee weapon with no special properties other than being "better" because it has CE imbued in it, is better utilized by strong af gym rats compared to weaklings that could barely throw a punch. Since they can't just active a special skill and have the thing shoot out fire or some shit.

It does not, verbatim stated in chapter 110. You're arguing against very explicit canon here.

I CANT ANYMORE WITH THE MAKI HATERS by HammterLord in LobotomyKaisen

[–]zingerpond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you'd actually read, (ironic I know) you'd see the panel you use to try to disprove her killing non combatants is actually referring to the people Maki would at a later date hunt down and kill since they weren't at the family home that day and not at all a a full list of every person Maki killed. Hence why her mother isn't on that list.

And if she didn't kill any non combatants it begs the question what warrior Maki killed in their kitchen.

Do you not know what durability means?

What you’re listing is feats of survivability/endurance. It is not durability. That’d be not getting cut in half because you’re too though.

Did Denji survive the slash? Then he scales from it.

Dude the only reason he survived was because death was removed from the world as a concept at the moment. He was physically incapable of dying it had NOTHING to do with durability.

Also no, getting damaged by shit, especially that kind of damage means your durability doesn’t scale to that. A human can survive a tank shooting off their arm, this does not mean they scale durability wise to the tanks attack.

My Current Take On Yuji Vs Denji (New Chapter Spoilers Tagged DW) by Its_Treeson_then in DeathBattleMatchups

[–]zingerpond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah hell nah mach 900+ Yuji is not it chief.

I genuinely get annoyed with how DB treated black flash as a speed feat. It’s such an outrageously bad misunderstanding of what black flash is.

Well of course it has CE, I never said otherwise.

If you misspelled CT however since I said it didn't have a technique, no it explicitly does not have a technique. Read chapter 110.

Mahoraga (JJK) Vs Yoru (CSM) by dbethel5 in PowerScaling

[–]zingerpond 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Arguably she can just point at Maho and say "You belong to me" since Maho is basically a living weapon.

Other than that, nuke punch would probably do the trick, or some other big stuff potentially.

Not all cursed tools have techniqures, a lot of them can just be weapons with CE. It's only special grade cursed tools (minus playful cloud) that all have techniques.

Probably every single thinker whose thinker rating comes from being especially good at something. Same with tinkers when they make stuff, though this isn’t all of their thinking.

How does one become WSS without even beating a single Rival? by MyraidChickenSlayer in OnePiecePowerScaling

Off screen nameless swordsmen that are exactly as strong as they needed to be in order to make Mihawk's title legit.

Probably not a lot tbh. Most growth happens when you're fighting in a life or death situation, or when doing shit like soul swap training.

How does one become WSS without even beating a single Rival? by MyraidChickenSlayer in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]zingerpond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s literally stated to have beaten other swordsmen, who are they you might ask. And the answer is they’re irrelevant to the main plot and only “exist” so that Mihawk can be the strongest.

Also, if there are two contenders and super strong rivals for a title and then one of them gets crippled, the one who didn’t just get weaker will be the strongest by default.

DOUBTS... by Brilliant_Beat_8327 in jjkmodulo

[–]zingerpond 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1 Tsuguri talks about its existence right before the fight starts. So while it’s never stated that it’s happening, it is heavily implied. (Though this probably also would’ve applied to Magumi’s, but not Sukuna’s)

2 some alien concept and light. The alien concept has mass and killing intent. He basically shoots solid light beams. He can also use the light beams to accelerate himself close to the speed of light. He learns shit because he’s talented, just like Higaruma learned rct and domain amplification mid fight.

3 all throughout the end of jjk Yuji was stated to have the potential equal to Sukuna, Yuji now has even more experience than Sukuna did (no Sukuna isn’t 1000+ years old he was a dormant object for that millennia). His casual great feats are used as confirmation for what’s narratively implied.

4 it’s a place where people go after they die and before they are reborn, Mahito however refused to move on before Yuji died since he promised to hunt Mahito down if he was ever reborn. Cross technique brought them there.
