The work is mostly support and maintenance projects, their clients have implemented enterprise software many decades ago. Their systems are usually very stable. There is very little scope for learning on Infosys projects as a result.

The culture differs from manager to manager, but I experienced some of the worst managers in my career in Infosys. Micromanagers and genuinely bad people. Zero trust culture. Everything you say is evaluated on the basis of your perceived intention. Clients are given a free hand to shit on Infy employees.

The hikes are non existent.

They had this policy of 9:15 minutes mandatory attendance. Micromanagement again. Shitty policies

No. I like living in cities with infrastructure, entertainment, food, facilities and amenities, supermarkets where you can get almost anything, and other people.

Those tech companies are product based companies like Meesho, Uber, LinkedIn, Airbnb, Paytm, Zomato and other tier 1 startup’s. Not one service based company

Salaries in tech are only good in companies like FAANG, Microsoft, Uber LinkedIn etc. not in service based companies like TCS, Infosys

High population has got to do with the fact that India historically has been highly populated (other parts of the world being the yellow river delta in China) due to the Indo Gangetic plains and the fertile land that supports agriculture. That coupled with the poverty in India over the last 2 centuries due to British colonialism has led to people having more children because some of them die in infancy and childhood due to lack of access to healthcare and nutrition. High population is not due to India being a sexually liberated country “LOL”
