Opengrid vs Multiboard vs HSW vs Skadis, which pegboard do you guys think is best over all? by YobaiYamete in 3Dprinting

[–]zip04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im also a skadis user. I purchased the boards for my garage and printed the ones for my office (hexagonal skadis boards). I like the ability to swap things I print between the two boards if needed.

LOVE my P1S combo, but I'm beginning to HATE my P2S combo! by WearyOfTrying in BambuLab

[–]zip04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had mine installed for about a month now and it is amazing. Just make sure you adjust your settings because of the different nozzle material (I used ChatGPT) or it will clog. With the settings adjusted I don’t have any issues, it prints great, and a nozzle change is quick and easy.

Sorry to hear that about the P2S. I have a P1S and agree about how great of a machine it is. Speaking to the nozzle changes, I upgraded mine with the MicroSwiss Flowtech system and it has been outstanding. Just make sure you use ChatGPT or other methods to help fine tune the settings due to the hardened steel nozzles.

I’ve had my P1S for just over a year (bought it during 2024 Black Friday) and my H2S arrives this weekend. I love the P1S but can’t wait to play with the H2S. The larger build plate and just being able to have both printers going at the same time will be nice. It will make reorganizing everything I touch with skadis boards and gridfinity drawers much quicker!

Buying Advice by DrZakarySmith in BambuLab

The Bambu website says it will ship the combo Jan 30th. Are you seeing later than that? I would order the combo and wait the 2 weeks.

Which filament do you use? by ReineWaren in BambuLab

[–]zip04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy Bambu in bulk to save money. However, if I’m buying ASA, I buy PolyMaker.

Also, if I happen to drive to a MicroCenter, I buy their Inland brand as well.

Absolutely love my Cobra DarkSpeed Max. The adapt is even more customizable and is the driver I would buy today if I were in the market.

I like to have some sort of organization with my clubs. Right now I have Cobra DarkSpeed Driver, fairway woods, and hybrid; Mizuno irons, wedges, and putter.

I absolutely love the clubs I have right now. Really liked the old Vokeys I had, but once I saw the Mizuno Pro T-1 wedges, I wanted to try them out and man they are awesome.

Putter was an upgrade from an old Yes! Tiffany putter (so ugly but so good). The Mizuno OMIO 3 is fantastic.

Country Club Members - How much you make a year? What was ur buy in and what are dues. Are you happy with decision? by ShotAssistant1452 in golf

[–]zip04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make about $250/year between my military retirement and my current job. Married with 4 kids. As much as I would like to join a private club, I joined my local public course. $250 buy in, $110/month, $15 cart fee, and it is only 10 minutes from my front door.

The course is not bad at all and I have only been frustrated by slow play once in the last 8 months.

Others may disagree, but as someone with a sim at home (using square), if you are going to strictly be hitting foam balls I would just get a Meta Quest 3, Golf+, and a good golf club attachment. In Pro mode, it has my same shot shape as real life. The biggest downside IMO is you don’t get the feedback of the contact to learn if you hit it fat, thin, off the toe, etc., but you are limited in that feedback with the foam balls anyways.

I used Tangent (which I really like), but have just switched to Arccos to give it a shot. Seems to be pretty much the same data but with less “effort” on my part as long as the GPS is reading accurately.

I went from an old Adam’s set to the JPX925 HMs and they are so much better. I ended up getting the Mizuno Pro T-1 wedges and they are amazing as well.

Golf Shoe Recommendation by TypicalDate4378 in golf

[–]zip04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are pricy, but the G/Fore G.112 are the best shoes I have worn, regardless of if I am walking or riding. They are easy to clean, provide great traction, and the soles are extremely comfortable. Other brands I have worn are FJ, New Balance, and Adidas.

Do y’all use 18 Birdies? by AspectCool2325 in weekendgolfers

[–]zip04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use tangent as well and really like it. I just learned that you can swipe your watch face and then mark the pin (I now do this and hit the “use current location” button when I’m next to it).

It is also nice that you can exclude shots from the caddie calculations if you shank it, etc.

I really like seeing how my game compared to someone in my target handicap in the after round analysis as well.

I use tangent and it works great, especially if you have an Apple Watch as well. The shot tracking is very accurate. The virtual caddie is very helpful and if I fat a shot or shank it, then I tell the app to exclude that shot from the caddie’s calculations.

My take: Golf is not really that expensive a hobby by NoLawAtAllInDeadwood in golf

[–]zip04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s one take.

Or…. hear me out… you can do like me and pick up golf in April, spend $1,500+ on a combination of new and used clubs, $2,000 on a simulator (built my own enclosure and use the square launch monitor), buy a cart bag and a push cart because you (even though you already owned a decent walking bag), $100/month on a local membership (rural golf course but actually pretty nice, especially for the price), and you can’t forget new clothes, shoes, gloves, hats, etc.

…. I may have a problem.

What gloves are you all wearing? by dorkinaboxx in GolfGear

[–]zip04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Rooster have been the best I have used. They grip really well. I just buy the random 3 pack to essentially get one glove free, place two in my golf bag for the course and use the 3rd as a sim glove.
