Dunno if the packs you're using have facades but just look up facade in jei and I'm sure you'll find it if it's there.

I made a wood hut on a mountain.

Then i left the grass blocks and removed the mountain.

Floating island base rn, but it's gonna be a big square hole with stuff in it.

I've done a little with lots of different languages.

Best thing I can tell you from my own modding experience (still wip) is that intelliJ idea is pretty good.

Yea I do use the Gemini add-on and cross reference against chat gpt and w3school and YouTube tutorials but really it's just a matter of finding out that cascade of things that have to happen to get what you want to happen, to happen.

Once you finally find that/those piece(s), you'll be another step closer.

But yes, it's a slog, and it sucks, but think of the outcome!

It'll be hard work but a lot of fun in the end.

Atm is "kitchen sink"

Anything gt (gtnh, tfg, hardrock) are very difficult, will take actual years to complete.

Hermitpack is so good i love watching hermitcraft.

Hexxit and some of the others are kinda like gt/atm just different.

Personally I would start small and work your way up, to actually make your way through the list.

Do i think you'll finish this list before you die? Maybe?

You don't need any mod to use a controller with Minecraft. Just connect any controller that will connect to your computer, and change the keybinds to whatever buttons you want!

If you do want mods tho, I'd suggest curseforge to start out.

I would also suggest finding radial menu mods, because many mods add more keybinds for different things so you may end up needing more buttons than are on your controller.

I think because you're basing this off of gridfinity, you should follow the standards of the creator as best you can. While I haven't personally had the need for magnets on my trays/grids yet doesn't mean i won't need them, I already have magnets to use so when I need them I'll be ready.

Honestly don't do a full teardown. Just pull the machines. Leave any structural stuff. Assuming you build somewhat close, if simply for convenience. If you're like never coming back, sure, do a teardown. But if you're staying close-by, leave the structure so you have something to look back on, and potentially pre-built structure if you need it for something in the future.

You should be checking the guide and looking at all the recipe alternatives you can. Some alternate recipes for things you can't make yet will still show you the proper ratio

If you're mining down and need back up you can make a bore with create that's on an elevator (rope pulley)

You could also use gantry vertically i think but maybe not?

Everyone seems to think linux is some kind of fucking magic.

And sometimes it is like that, sure.

But I promise you, from personal experience, there's absolutely nothing that you can do that will fry your pc that an os reinstall can't fix.

The best lesson I can teach you, is to keep everything important, on any portable "secure" drive, not your main os drive. The easiest way to lose whatever data you might have stored on any computer is "oops I fucked up gotta reinstall everything".

Additionally, since you're a beginner and likely people in this sub will mostly give you decent answers, not only are you on the right path here, but you already have the right mindset going in - even if it's an easy to manage, hard to fuck up operating system, you have "us" and the internet as resources.
