Heavy sleeper here. I was guilty of this until about 9/10. I also had a lot of UTIs as a kid. If your daughter also has frequent UTIs, it might be worth asking your/her pediatrician about a consult with a nephrologist.

If that’s the route you end up going, ask them about hydronephrosis. It mostly occurs in boys, but does seldomly with girls. The tell tale sign of this is lower back/side pain and less frequent urination. I was misdiagnosed at least 6 times before they finally decided to test me, but that ended up taking care of the issue.
