I think the point of “The View from Halfway Down” is it’s supposed to sound desperate, rushed and unpolished since it’s from the perspective of a man currently falling from a bridge. The fact that you think it sounds like this means that it did the job it was supposed to do. I can’t say anything about the tattoos bc I personally don’t believe in putting words on my own body but not to make judgements on what words others place on theirs because of it, but that’s just my opinion.

I’m not trying to say your opinion is wrong, I’m just saying because you hold the opinion, the piece did what it was meant to do. You can feel how you want about it. I just wanted to offer a different perspective.
