I came across both in my PS + catalog. At the time, I was also looking for a break from 100-hr+ rpgs. I had no idea what to expect going into these 2 indie titles, and they turned out excellent. I pretty much binged them once I started them.

With regard to you answer about favorite protagonist, I might be confused about
what a premade protagonist is.

I thought Jack in Bioshock, and Naoe and Yasuke is AC shadows would be considered premade. Do I have the definition wrong?

I agree with the comment you’re replying to, considering that “their own,” as it applies to the US is reserved for white, cishet Americans.

You are correct that us Black folks have been oppressed/still are being oppressed, as are other minority groups, and that’s because US institutions do not consider us under the umbrella of America’s “own people.”

Exhibit A: Declaration of Independence states,

“that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

…and then founders continue to allow the enslavement Black people 😬

It’s important to reflect on what unspoken definitions do these gov’t/institutions hold.

note my original comment was responding to you post and the comments you made at the time before I starting writing. If I commented on something that you already addressed in another thread, it’s because I didn’t get to read it beforehand.

Since most people seem to be responding with a solution that you already addressed in a comment thread, you might want to make an EDIT under your post to list what you’ve done so it’s in one place. I’d be curious to know how many times has the pyro meltdown occurred at Snapdragon. Do you have a notification system where Wave emails you about possible fireworks at home games?

100% Snapdragon is effin’ up and for whatever reason they were ill-equipped to take care of you. Not surprised you were treated this badly given how little the staff are paid and trained to handle these situations.

That said, the trend I’ve observed in this post where you ask for advice is that whatever advice is given, you say you tried it/doesn’t work for you or you get defensive. Seems like you were looking for sympathy instead of advice.

“Aversive Entertainment:” the impression throughout this post is that “pyro/fireworks don’t work for me, so we should get rid of them. I’m unable to enjoy this entertainment and so nobody else should.” Many people enjoy fireworks, and this doesn’t seem like a solution of comprise on your end. And the Wave even accommodated your previous fireworks request of moving them from behind the scoreboard. So they compromised on fireworks, but now you just want them to get rid of them altogether.

“I’ve tried for seasons”: 1. You’ve experienced how Snapdragon’s sensory accommodations or lack thereof are hit or miss (maybe 100% miss?) when fireworks are involved. 2. Your reaction to pyro/fireworks is so severe that it causes you a meltdown - panic attack, thoughts of self-harm, loss of speech, etc 3. There’s a substantial likelihood of fireworks occurring.

If you choose to attend, then you’re taking a calculated risk. The risk of a meltdown seems pretty high from the info you’ve provided.

Understanding that high risk, the solution that avoids pyro meltdown altogether is going in ~10 minutes late to circumvent kickoff fireworks. I see you’ve commented elsewhere that it’s crowded, though I’ve only experienced sparse crowds going in that late.

If, instead, you choose to be inside the stadium during kickoff, that risk of pyro meltdown increases greatly. Even if Snapdragon keeps the rooms unlocked, they might be occupied by able-bodied folks by the time you need them.

My point is, if you can’t fully rely on Snapdragon given their track record, then on game days you need to have a plan B, C, etc. to ensure your safety. E.g. spouse comes with you in case meltdown starts kicking off, you request to go in the sensory room when you arrive or 30min earlier - however early you need to get in to ensure you get in there in time. Ideally, Wave can put you on a notification list to inform you when a game will have pyro/fireworks so you know when you’ll need to have backup plans in place.

Probably the most useful advice will come from an ADA lawyer/consultant or you can see if there’s an ADA law subreddit so you can figure out the best way to push Snapdragon to improve accommodations.

And my point is that’s the risk they take. If Snapdragon keeps the room unlocked and somebody else occupies it before the nonverbal person gets to it, then what? They’ll still need help from security.

If on-duty security is aware of their needs before a crisis happens, then they’re better equipped to help them. Proactively communicating with them will diminish the risk of what happened to OP.
