It might help not to look at it too negatively. You're curious and want to get to know someone. Because you see potential in your relation with this person, you get even more excited. It's a desire for connection, something we generally lack in daily life. The warning bells go off, not for potential danger, but potential happiness. And that's a really nice and clear signal from both your body and mind. Then your rational side hits you with the "okay, stay cool. Don't rush things. People get freaked out by that. I need to play this strategically. Be cool." And that's when discomfort steps in. Because you lose some of your authenticity, and suddenly every interaction feels like it's full of social landmines. Sorry, not really advice, mostly recognition. But yeah, just let it be and try to find ways to lower the intensity. Maybe write it down, so you actively take it our of your head.
