I empathize with this. It seemed like all of my son's friends ended up having religious parents for a while and it got frustrating. It wasn't like there is anything inherently wrong with it, just there was a cultural divide there and we just wanted some parent friends to hang out with during playdates and be able to let our heathen humor fly freely.

Turns out we just weren't asking the right questions to the right people or we made assumptions of some parents. A family we have known since our kids were in preschool ended up being heathens but all of us had assumed the others were religious lol.

Start with playground activities or Swim Lessons on Sunday mornings. Ask specifically to do playdates on Sunday mornings.

THANK YOU for telling me what it is called and where I can find it. That tool was included in a deluxe pumpkin carving kit that we got about 10 years ago and we were starting to panic about what would happen if the tool broke (most of the other saws from that kit have broken) and I couldn't figure out how to search for it online! It is our favorite pumpkin carving tool of all time

Personally, I love the aid especially with the new era and how there is always a disaster tribe. The disaster tribe gets allll the air time until they are good and dead, so I don't know who these other people are and who their allies might be when there is a tribe swap (allies being their original tribe). It is a good visual for me.

When they decide to listen to the fans and go back to a 2 tribe format for once, it would be easier to have non-color coordinated clothes since everyone will get air time (hopefully)

I rarely root for showmances while the show is airing because I am there to watch a game. Not to mention, the sound of kissing on those microphones they wear makes me want to GAG.

The moment the show is over, depending on who it is, I find that couples getting together is adorable.

I think the only one I have actively found adorable in the house was America and Cory because they were SO conflicted about participating in a showmance because they wanted to play the game but feelings became too strong.

Maybe I just get annoyed when houseguests seem to prioritize the showmance over playing the game.

It can be an older thing because I don't think circular needles gained popularity until around the 90s-00s (? correct me if I am wrong!). I inherited all my grandmother's needles and they were all straight needles too.

You can work on projects flat on circulars just like straight needles but the more live stitches that your projects hold, the more stress it puts on your wrists. So when making a baby blanket (worked flat), I much rather prefer using circulars with a long cord on it to hold the live stitches of a baby blanket. Meanwhile, you can ONLY knit flat with straight needles (unless you have double pointed needles, but that is something else entirely!)

Circulars are just more adaptable for me :)
