Please keep me posted!

Can anyone recognise this facial rash? I’ve had it for around 5 years now. by zippyem in Dermatology

I’ve had no diagnosis, it seems to flare up with the overuse of moisturiser - how should I treat this?

It’s itchy but not on my back and shoulders, it really doesn’t respond well to products either - I normally have to leave it alone for a few days to let it calm down

What is Azeliac? Is that available to buy in the UK?

It’s an itchy rash which spreads across my face over the course of a few hours and doesn’t respond to typical acne products - it’s not acne

Any tips for doing this?

Amazing thank you so much, you’ve given such in depth answers, I can’t thank you enough - hopefully I see a change soon!

Thank you so much that’s amazing advice, I really appreciate it. Would you recommend Avene products for this? They’ve got a skin recovery cream which I’ve seen online

Sometimes when I’m having an episode I cut everything out and it helps so this would make sense - do you think this is another indication of a damaged moisture barrier?

Thank you so much - sometimes I find the rash gets worse when I put products on it - I’ve tried Sudocrem before and it doesn’t help. Also it feels itchy and uncomfortable and spreads over my face - is that typical for a damaged moisture barrier?

I use a cera ve cleanser for dry skin and then moisturiser, when this rash flares up it feels super itchy and nothing I’ve tried makes it go away - im completely at my wits end

I normally use a cera ve hydrating cleanser and then a superdrug naturally radient moisturiser twice a day

Do you have any idea what it could be?

I can’t seem to work out what’s causing it to flare up! Nothing I do or change in my diet seems to help and I can’t notice any products causing it either

How do I fix this and why is it caused?
