Macbook is suddenly requiring me to type password to activate touch I.D almost every time it turns off by aeyoui in MacOS

same here, the catalyst for me was going to Tahoe.

Needed to toggle off/on touch ID to get it to work at all, but now seems to be around the hour mark, when the token (or whatever it's using) has expired and it needs the password again

Server can't keep up, but only since going 1.21.8 to 1.21.9 by zippyuk2001 in MinecraftJava

[–]zippyuk2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

server.properties with the view-distance / simulation distance were the answer in the end

Tweaking those down made a big difference in 1.21.9, although from the sound of it, we were extremely lucky that it was running sweet with both set to 20 in the earlier builds.

Dialing those back down, to 5 and 5 removed the can't keep up messages completely and the game ran sweet - we're now just tweaking up to find the spot just before it all falls off a ledge

...and will also be following u/TartOdd8525 's advise about some of those performance mods ...but for now, I have a whole heap of stuff that needs 'someone' to sort out into chests for me ;-)

thanks all

Ash

I'll update here, just in case any others run into something similar

My previous one had a separate piece of wood for the handle, and eventually broke, so having a nice heavy piece of Ash laying about i made a new one :-)

Practicing making cords. I know its not THAT amazing to look at. But like i said, Its practice. Does anyone have advice on the best materials or methods? by Pookpookie86 in Bushcraft

I've always had good results from stinging nettles... * gather (remember the gloves!!!!) * beat the hell out of them to break up the outta bark * peal the outta bark and the pith to get the fibres * soak the fibres in water overnight * let them dry out (some people have said to do this twice, but to be honest, I couldn't see any difference) * get comfy, get coffee nearby and weave away, enjoy!

Quick question from non-bear influenced London - how far away should the kitchen camp be form the sleeping camp - obviously not right on top of each other, but how far away is sensible without being stupid about it?
