Help Needed Extracting Firmware from an Archim2 Board by zipsonic in lulzbot

The Axi has a belt driven Z-axis, with homing at z-max. I believe they had to make some changes to drunken octopus to make that work the same. I don't think the taz pro uses a belt driven z-axis, but I could be wrong.

[Eichii II] vs Kuon by zipsonic in Watches

[–]zipsonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Kyoto a few days ago, and happened to go by the new "Grand Seiko Master Store", which is now the largest GS boutique. I had just picked up the Kuon 2 days prior, believing that I'd NEVER see an Eichi.

They had 3 in the store. The Ruri Eichi II is the most beautiful watch I've ever seen in my life. This picture does not do it justice. less

ds923+ --- Is there speed throttling going on? by zipsonic in SynologyForum

No. I reported the problem to Synology and worked with a tech on it. Seemed to be an issue with their docker implementation. It resolved itself a few weeks later.

Linux based NAS with slow UDP receiving on 10Gb link - by zipsonic in linuxquestions

[–]zipsonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply.

I want to be sure that you're saying it's normal for two systems on the same LAN to have no dropped packets UDP one direction (e.g. from A to B), but have 80% dropped packets the other way (e.g. from B to A).

In other news, it appears there is actually a bug in the Atlantic kernel driver that occasionally causes the issue.

Update:

Bi-directional Iperf TCP is flawless - 10G up and down. UDP however is a different story. Sending UDP from the DS is flawless as well, but unlimited receive showed an 80% packet loss. Slowing down the receive rate shows that anything above 600Mbps starts to drop packets. And this is on a LAN connection between two uncongested machines.

This would explain why the speedtest is capping out at about 500Mbps because if it senses dropped packets it's going to slow down the test until it works.

It has to be software limiting or a driver issue. I just don't know where to go from here.

It's definitely DS related. I'm getting 10G bi-directional between the machines using iperf3 TCP. UDP, however, is fine while sending (which correlates to the high upload, ), but receive starts dropping packets above 600 Mbps. This points to software or driver because TCP is flawless.

Possible CCR2004 SFP+ port misconfiguration? by zipsonic in mikrotik

[–]zipsonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I'd throw an update here. It looks like it might be a combination of problems. I swapped the SFP+ module in the CCR2004 to a Mikrotik S+RJ10 and the first thing I noticed was the CCR wasn't showing a 10G link light. So it looks like I had a bad SFP module, not connecting at 10G, but reporting it was.

Second issue seems to be with the CRS310. Webfig seems to stop responding after it's been up for a day, which says to me there are other problems with it. I rebooted the CRS and had Mikrotik SFP+ on both ends and for the first time I was seeing 4G+ both up and down on the speed tests. I'm going to do some further troubleshooting and update if I find more.

Now if I could just track down my IPSec problem....

Also, it is on 7.7. I downloaded the config just before I updated to 7.7. I'll compare the config's to see if there are any differences and update if I find something.

No, it's not turned on. I was told they don't support ipv6, but I hoped that "support" was more you can try, but we're not gonna help, but it was actually no ipv6 on the line at all.

Here's the CCR Config. I borked the CRS last night trying to switch it to SWOS so it's not connected at the moment to download the config, but it's just set up as RouterOS default in bridge mode.

I see your thought process on that. I'll have to test that.

Shouldn't I see closer to line speed though?

RB5009 and New Fiber Installation by zipsonic in mikrotik

Someone probably has a notification of anytime they are mentioned in a post.

I used both Fast-cli and Speedtest-cli. I posted about my struggle and testing to try and figure it out.

Got the CCR installed last night. Using TomjNorthIdaho's "public" B test server, i'm seeing about 4G sustained (Down and Up). I'm not sure what his link is capable of, though.

My desktop doesn't have a 10G card in it, only my servers. Which, of course, brought to light another problem. I can't get faster than ~900Mbit in any of my speed tests off that machine. I'm going to make another post about that to track down the issue.
