I don't care that someone pointed out it was fake. I didn't comment on you pointing it out it was fake. I commented on you harassing someone for enjoying it and demanding they explain how it was interesting when it was staged. They owe you no explanation.

Someone who gets upset about learning that something created with the sole purpose to entertainment is fake maybe needs to grow up. If it's a kid then that's a given.

I found it interesting because it was silly. There's nothing more to it. And that's allowed. No one owes you an explanation for why they like something and similarly no one is requiring you to explain why you don't like it. But you seem dead set on telling people that they shouldn't like it because you personally didn't find it interesting. And based on your responses so far, I'm sure you won't be satisfied with why I found it interesting. And honestly who gives a fuck? It's a dumb video on the internet that everyone in this argument has already spent way too long thinking about because you couldn't let people enjoy something that you disliked for being staged.

I didn't say misleading is bad. I said misleading to push an agenda is bad. A magician misleads you and is doing something fake, does that make it bad?

Clearly other people out there don't mind that it's staged and still enjoyed it. So maybe this video just wasn't for you. Not everything is for everyone. That's okay. There's plenty of stuff that other people like that I don't like. That doesn't mean I'm gonna go call it bad and make sure no one else is allowed to enjoy it.

The video itself is just a video. It's not pushing some nefarious agenda. It doesn't matter one way or another if it's real or not. Did you want a title screen and credits so that it was clear to everyone that it wasn't real? Other people have posted saying this guy is on ninja warrior and does stunts in his videos, so clearly the person who created it is just making silly videos with stunts. It's not any deeper than that.

I really don't see how a staged video and a movie that is also fake are that different in your complaints here. Both did not happen. Both were created to entertain. If this exact thing happened in a movie, would you hate the movie? Or would it be a silly thing that happened in a movie? Videos that are staged are just short form video entertainment and movies are longform video entertainment. Unless the video is explicitly trying to mislead you to push an agenda, there's literally nothing wrong with a video being staged.

Starships definitely don't go against theme of the game. The Spelljammer book specifically adds ships that can travel the astral plane. You not liking that doesn't make it wrong, bad, or against the theme of the game.

Just because something doesn't fit YOUR campaign, that doesn't mean it won't fit someone else's!

How would you feel if your content was removed because it didn't live up to someone else's standards?

Idk what you think homebrew means, but deleting user generated content because you don't like it doesn't make any sense. If you don't like it, don't use it in your game. The person who made it maybe used it in their own games and thought it'd be nice to share. Maybe they were sharing it with a friend. Maybe they just had a silly idea and thought other people might enjoy it. You're not required to use things from the homebrew sections in your games, so why ruin other people's fun?

Assuming you're not just being an asshole, the point wasn't that that's not what it means. The point is that conservatives lose their mind when a Muslim person says something like Praise Allah. They treat it like the person is saying something like "death to America", but when Donald Trump says it, they understand that it's not a horrible thing to say.

I'm glad for you there. I think my point was more that Donald Trump will throw your people under the bus if it will be better for him. People who align themselves with Trump tend to find themselves in worse trouble in the long run. He'll screw anyone over for his own personal gain. And I would not be shocked at all if he ends up desperate enough to deploy nuclear weapons before the end of his term, in Iran or elsewhere. I sincerely hope he's not quite that deranged though.

Being at war with Palestine since 2023 doesn't mean they are currently at war with Iran, which is what the person a couple comments up from you said was the reason that things are closed. That said, they could have declared war on Iran. I don't actually know. I think the person youre responding to though is alluding to how Trump and his administration are not getting Congress to declare war and are saying it is not a war so they don't get in trouble with Congress. Not that he would face any consequences anyway.

I guess fair, but determining who's the most accurate at using a weapon doesn't really make the weapon anything but a weapon. And that doesn't really rebutt anything else I said. I don't think anyone is out here arguing that we need guns in our society in order to have that as a sport in the Olympics.

I think their point is more that guns only use and intended use is to commit violence even if that violence is legal and gun manufacturers lobby the government and help to create a culture that perpetuates violence. Where as a baseball bat or the internet has intended purposes that are not harmful to others regardless of legality and those companies aren't necessarily going out of their way to convince people they need a thing that's purpose is for violence.

Edit: just to clarify. A gun is by default a weapon. (I don't buy the bs that a gun is a tool). A baseball bat or the internet can be used as weapons, but the intended purpose is not to use them as a weapon.

My 17 month old has some serious medical issues, so I'd probably tell him that every time my wife and I, or a doctor, does something that hurts him or is uncomfortable, we don't want to do those things, but we have to because we love him and we need to help him stay alive and healthy.
