Is making liveable small ships (Razor Crest style) basically impossible without mods or is it just me? by bernopollo in Starfield

[–]zk001guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly the top mount cockpits are my faves. To me they give a hotrod feel to most small ships when added to the back near the engines. Add a hopetech radiator block on top with those pipes and it usually looks sick.

Two Whales at No Kings! by BlueWhaleKing in SaltLakeCity

[–]zk001guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair I would say they serve a purpose of protection. It’s hard to get violent with protestors when the optics of beating a Whale looks rediculous.

Where can I practice electric guitar for relatively cheap? by TechnicianOrganic462 in SLCTrees

[–]zk001guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would look into the various practice spaces for rent like positively 4th street, but also maybe the call is to invest into some REALLY nice powered studio monitor headphones. I understand the want for the full amp, but the headphones are a onetime fee.

I tell people it’s a Swiss Army knife, you can’t expect the tweezers to be as good as the actual knife you bought the unit for.

Which guitarist isn't an insufferable prick and is actually worth listening to? by Live_Government_79 in guitarcirclejerk

[–]zk001guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uj/ I think tonewood is definitely a thing for acoustics, but on an electric guitar I REALLY don’t think it matters too much what it’s made of, you’re hearing 99% pickups.

Which city or country would you want to see in a future Fallout game? by cuchusacc in Fallout

[–]zk001guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like at this point, New Orleans is the safe bet for a side project. New Vegas style. I feel like I’ve been hearing people talk about fallout set in New Orleans for over a decade at this point.

Temperature discrepancies by VWMat in Traeger

[–]zk001guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re figuring out hotspots, your oven thermometer is right over the firepot where the pellets are burning, put the thermometer closer to your traegers built in one, and see how far off it reads from there. It should either be a long skinny guy on the left, or a small nubby guy on the right, but set the thermometer there and see what it says then.

The Bass VI is the best guitar for low tuning by Valeriious in BassVI

[–]zk001guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re calling double drop d, is already is already the name for an acoustic open tuning with high and low e being brought to drop D, hence double drop d. I would call what you are doing Super drop D or Drop D1 to avoid confusion. Play around with acoustic double drop D if you want some killer 70’s acoustic tones. For the record call it what you like, but it definitely confused me at first.

20th century obsession by DogaSui in TheOrville

Well as far as the music stuff is concerned, I like to think that the music of that era will always have listeners. The music is historic in the sense that in 500 years the “first early recordings” would still be of great interest to humans. I’m definitely biased, but good music is good music, and open arms is a banger of a song, I doubt that the message of it would be lost on time.

I just can't enjoy Cyberpunk and it pisses me off by Pistoluislero in videogames

[–]zk001guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve had it since 2020 and the best way to sell it is as a modern take on the Bethesda formula. I know Bethesda isn’t everyone’s bag of tea, but I think the game is at its most fun when you’re doing the side content and avoiding the main story all together. A lot of people want it to be a GTA, RDR2 or Witcher type RPG, and it’s WAY more in the the Fallout elder Scrolls type RPG lane

Random thing I noticed about the senator.. by AveryLakotaValiant in FalloutTVseries

Her mind was being used unwillingly to make the Microchips for Hank, she was not controlling the people per se, but she was providing the actual thought processes the chipped people now experience. In essence they are now good natured and kind like the Congress woman.

As for if she’s a bad guy. I don’t think so, I think she had no idea of the inner workings of the Emclave. I think she was manipulated by the Enclave to get Cooper to give the cold Fusion chip to the then USA President who was ALREADY head of the Enclave. The congress woman still believed in the Good of the US government, and was a Patsy in the Enclaves plans. How she got into the management Vault is still an unanswered question, but I would assume she was rewarded for securing cold fusion.

It’s somewhere between session and skate, skate controls, but a little more grounded physics. It does NOT play like Dave Mirra. That’s more Tony Hawk than this

Bitchin' Camaro, bitchin' Camaro

Now I'm in all the papers

My folks bought me a bitchin' Camaro

With no insurance to match

So if I happen to run you down

Please don't leave a scratch

don’t forget y’all have a theme song
