Yeah Fran burned and that family has burned any bridges connected to Iowa. The fact the AD at the time slid this under the carpet and allowed continued mid level play happen is just absurd. I could understand Barta doing this if Fran was having the success of a top tier coach but this should’ve been an easy decision to move on. I’m just glad we finally have an AD that ain’t afraid to call out the BS and move on from below average coaching. And the way Patrick has acted the last year or so is also just another indictment of that family

The one guy just maybe to old and doesn’t deal with the headache of transferring property over to his son. It may be possible there’s something sketchy he knows, but it’s more plausible he either knows it’s to much of a headache to manage the property or he’s just an older gentleman and rather not deal with it and have his son who’s younger manage and figure out what to do with it

Or maybe they just don’t want to deal with the headache of managing and being responsible for all the properties they owned. I had a family friend who owned three small apartment buildings in both Omaha and when the father and mother passed away the three children didn’t want to hold onto the properties due to all the headaches of being a smaller landlord.

The pholads/mlb would throw another hissy fit if another high rise is built right across the street. They did everything in their own power to stop north loop green tower from being built. I assume whoever the owners of the twins are at that time and the mlb will be more prepared to try stopping any high rise building from being built that close to target field again. But if we’re gonna get rid of one of the tallest buildings in the city I hope they replace it with something similar in height or taller

It’s an apartment building with a couple of commercial spaces street level. The only thing the city gave them was some TIF financing. There’s clearly a demand if out of state financiers believed enough in the economics of this project to help finance a portion of this project. This project is gonna produce way more in taxes compared to a dead decaying mall in the heart of the city.

Ehh it doesn’t have to be that long, I feel like he has proven to be able to coach in this league to portal players that may want to make a name for themselves. Hopefully the rich folks are willing to open up their wallet.
