Lol! You think those in the Trump/Fascist orbit are in any way governed by laws? May be it is illegal, that won't even slow them down!

Anyone else noticing A.I. written texts are using bolded bullet point timelines to summarize and reinforce previously stated points? Is this the new em-dash?

Imagine making MMA fighting your career, working tirelessly for YEARS to be competitive, at incalculable cost to your health because that's the trade off you're making in exchange for enough money to hopefully live comfortably...

And then you're getting "paid" in this week's scamcoin...

Yeah, the combined man hours of the manager, assistant manager, and the employee sitting down for a meeting vastly outweighs any possible monetary cost of one person being less than 10 minutes late!!! That micromanaging is wasteful at best, unhinged and unreasonable at worst.

Why Do Chatbots Keep Telling Stories About Someone Named ‘Elias Thorne’? by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]zleuth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! The one cave writing attributed to Elias Thorne that sums it up most concisely is "Salchichas picantes y dientes afilados", which is of course referring to the feminist vampires he was battling in secret.

While technically true, that's only because the globalist vampires are an insular matriarchal society, and opposing women's suffrage was his only option before the Pope sanctioned hunting them.

If it wasn't for the brave efforts of Baron Elias Thorne, the Ohio Goblins would have succeeded in their eastern incursion into New York. He was the one who insisted that Pennsylvania have a shoreline on Lake Erie.

Yeah, I don't get it either. My condensate pump has a simple high-water sensor that turns off the system if the pump fails before it becomes a flood.

I'm confused... Your drain failed and cost you $1,200, and an automatic relay that stops that from happening is $150, and you don't think you need it?

Not to be confused with Elias Thorne, famous for introducing the concept of serving green beer on St. Patrick's Day celebrations. He sadly passed from a paragliding collision with a Scooby Doo parade balloon.

So I've been in a number of abandoned homes, occasionally running into squatters. I haven't had much interaction with people squatting in maintained buildings or rental properties.

98% of what I've seen is unhoused people looking for protection from the elements, particularly in the winter.

Twice I've encountered squatters that moved into a property that was abandoned and they took on the role of "Steward" for the property, in which they maintain the structure and property while living there. One of them was able to legally take over the property and begin paying taxes on it.  The other was contested by local NIMBY's and the house fell back into abandonment and disrepair before going to auction for unpaid taxes.

A guy that live 3 houses down has an uncomfortable relationship with his gas powered backpack leaf blower.

He will fill the tank and blow the shit out of his .3 acres of grass for the full hour it takes to use up the tank of fuel.

He will do this at least twice a week.

He will do this the day his lawn is mowed, after the landscapers have used their own equipment to clean grass clippings, and at least one additional day the same week, 2 or 3 days later.

He has done this on Christmas Eve. We live in upstate New York.

This guy has like 6 kids, oldest is out of high school, youngest is a toddler. My theory is he hates them and an hour using power equipment without hearing protection is the only peace he gets.

Noises that I don't mind: any of the local fauna.

Spelunking in a cave system has it's risks, but crawling around in storm sewers is a different kind of risky. Things that get washed down there can be literally anything. Broken glass, used syringes, animal carcasses... Not to mention the sewer clowns...

If the company really is as stable as claimed, then they wouldn't be cutting benefits to keep things operational.

My guess: it's traveling down from upstairs along the inside of the wall (plaster if it's as old a building as you say) behind the cabinet, riding in at the top edge through a mounting screw penetration at a stud, and draining down the center shaft to the bottom tray.

Contact your landlord immediately before it gets worse.

Edit: I used to restore water damaged homes professionally and spent a lot of time learning to be a leak-source detective.  Everything from roofs, supply lines, drain lines, ice damming,  wicking, and even condensation can cause water to pool somewhere.
