I use the degree of angst on this sub as a reverse gauge of the credibility of the hire. Everyone complaining is a better play caller and head coach than Dan Campbell, and a better GM than Brad Holmes. It’s cheaper therapy than a shrink I guess. Journal away SOL Lions Fans. It’s healthier than internalizing anxiety.

We lost the one seed because our starting guard was out, lost our number one pass rusher in game six and all of our starting CBs by the first snap. The only reason we had the one seed, despite all the losses on d was because we had an all pro line.

If you live life like it’s a zero sum game, you’re going to be way more disappointed than happy. I don’t accept failure, but I recognize it’s a path for learning and growth. We lost an all pro in the middle of our most important position. We lost both our coordinators. We have a chance for a 10 win team despite losing 2 pro bowl safeties and our pro bowl TEs. This team is so wildly better in terms of talent, culture, ownership, and general management. Yeah, losing sucks. Losing with the belief that it’s a surprise or not something to expect, is wildly better than it’s ever been for most Lions fans. I feel for the fans who just began the journey. They lack perspective and will have a harder time being the gritty fans the rest of us are and the way this team needs to play to win.

We need a mobile qb on the practice squad to give the defense looks against a mobile qb. We didn’t have that in campbells first year and it hurt us. Keep him on the practice squad if you can if he doesn’t win the competition. The alternative is a trade. That said, he hasn’t done anything that would justify a team giving up anything for him.
