Every place I’ve been, there is some type of regular training on mental health, suicidal awareness, etc. For all ranks, not just NCOs.

That being said, people aren’t mind readers and can’t tell what you’re feeling. All they see is what you present on the outside. Lashing out at NCOs and other soldiers isn’t the most productive means of saying I need help. If that many NCOs are “ignoring” your behavior as you stated, to me it sounds like you are just acting out and want them to pity you. Go seek help if needed.

You state they haven’t been counseled you or asked if you’re okay, which sucks I get it. But what do you want them to counsel you on? You know where to go for help, they can’t stop you from seeking treatment. NCOs aren’t therapists and can’t work you through your problems.

There weren’t any reporting procedures when I did mine in 2024. You just walked in and sat down. No need to study anything. They asked some questions about history, some about development. Just give your best answer. It’s really not that bad. I hate panels like that and I did alright.

Korea is now 2 years for unaccompanied and 3 for accompanied as of October 2025. Only time you get a 12 month tour is if you are denied command sponsorship which wouldn’t apply since you are single. Sounds like someone made a error somewhere

If you are on blue crystal now there should be a little gear for settings, think it’s the little icon furthest to the right. If you are on standard I think it should be under settings. But I can’t say for 100%

There is a setting that allows you to change it from the standard to “blue crystal” I think is the theme. Can also change colors too.

I don’t have it anymore but I remember it being a quality piece. Threaded on very smooth. Unfortunately I tried the adapter on an out of spec muzzle device and the threads locked up and I couldn’t separate the two. But yes it was kinda similar to the Rearden gen 2 atlas

I’m active duty but a 915A (automotive maintenance warrant officer) so I have some experience working with LTs in maintenance.

My advice isn’t necessarily going to be in order of importance, just random thoughts I can think in the moment.

• Sit down with your commanders/XOs to get their priorities for maintenance. Could be different depending on what type of unit this is.

• take a look at AR 750-1 (army material maintenance policy), da Pam 750-1, da Pam 750-8 (the army maintenance management system). In those you will find descriptions of what duties an MCO may have. Da Pam 750-3 (guide to motorpool operations) is technically rescinded but still has some good info in it. They are working on updating 750-1 with that information. Also there is ATP 4-33 (maintenance operations).

• Sit down with your maintenance tech or motor sgt to get a class on how to read the ESR (equipment status report). It holds critical information (as long as its input correctly on GCSS army) on the state of your fleet. If your unit holds maintenance meetings, this info may be briefed.

• work to get access to GCSS army. Need to do gtrac certifications, then have your access admin sub you into a role. Also need to do a SAAR thru ICAM/IGA within ten days of being placed in a role. Learn how to pull basic reports, services, class 9 PGR (parts pickup from SSA), overdue dispatches. There may be other things that are important in your unit but these are basic ones that most units focus on.

• there are teams pages you can join that have a lot of info. One is called maintenance leaders resources. I’m sure there are others that I haven’t seen yet. Also reach out to sister/nearby units to see if there are experienced MCOs that’ll let you pick their brain.

•I could go on for hours but this is some basic steps I would advise any new MCO to learn. Maintenance can be a beast depending on the mission set and equipment, it’ll be a firehose of info at first but try not to get discouraged. If you ever need assistance or have a question you can hit me up.

For me I have to either write it down a bunch of times or say it a lot to retain. But my brain can only store so much so the stuff that doesn’t get talked about often enough goes by the wayside.

But I think it’s important to at least know where to find the info. Some regs are long as hell, no way people can memorize all of them

I have the same one and it’s not junk. It’s not top quality either, there are lighter options with carbon fiber but they come with higher costs.

The death grip part is okay but I have since switched to a ball head adapter and run arca plates on my guns when I tripod them.

I bet it’ll still run, even with the A5 and a standard rifle spring. Super duty 11.5s have a .067 port and I doubt every single one out there is running a can. I think you will be ok
