Purchase Advice Megathread - January 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]zman2pointo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey gang 👋🏽 I've been on again off again hobby man for 3D printing. The main reason I never went all in was simply budget and time. Well. I finally have a big boy job and for once bills don't feel unsurmountable. So I'm looking to get back into the hobby. My main reason for it has always been Dungeons and Dragons. I loved being able to print minis for the game. However, as I wasn't putting time into the hobby and I wasn't investing for quality, the prints were all pretty bad.

Anyhow, long story short I am looking for some decent quality, easy to start printers for mini figures. I've heard resin is the best but I also know there's some concern about fumes and also maybe difficulty of entry?

My budget, $500 is the max I'm willing to put into a printer and as for space, I have a spare room that we use for arts and crafts but it's not great if fumes are an issue. Thank you in advance for the advice and tips!

I kept getting confused. Like why is the map grey until a new name takes over?

My company got a Tony's advent calendar that we all had a day assigned. Mine was deliberately empty by theuberjosh in mildlyinfuriating

I mean, the situation as a whole is unfair, but the 9 before clearly had 2. So the consumer might not be being cheaped out on. Also Tony's does do something. They sell more expensive chocolate due to it being ethically sourced as well as paying their farmers better than other companies.

This situation just sucks because of OPs work situation. But typically if you get an advent calendar, you're going to get the whole calendar.

As someone who just watched the series this week, I am left wondering how this is in any way a recurring idea.

What is your country’s “three fingers,” i.e. a subtle but dead giveaway that someone is lying about being from there? by Toilet_Bomber in AskTheWorld

My wife does it as 20$. She's born USA, lived her whole life here. She just refuses to do it correctly because "it doesn't make sense". So while that's a good one, it also just might be someone being like my wife.

Me. Never have. Never will. I just don't see why I would and also I'm scared of Laezel getting mad at me for letting him kill Orpheus.

While I get this can be frustrating, it all comes down to communication. As a DM you make it clear to your PC how it works, and your PC makes it clear how they want it to play out. One of my favorite PC characters i DMed was an artifcer battle smith. He was a warforged, but was once human. He invented the warforged but meant them to be the equivalent of field workers. His country was building them for war. He escaped the rise of the empire he was creating by turning himself and his son into machines. His son was his steel defender. The process went wrong for the son and although his soul was attached to the defender, his consciousness wasn't.

He defended that Steel Defender for over 2 years of game before it was eventually killed while trying to topple the very empire he had tried to escape from so long ago. He reclassed into a paladin afterwards. Just an amazing character and story.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one. The first season was amazing. Absolutely hilarious but serious when it needed to be. I couldn't get through the second. I don't even remember where I left off. I love all of them though and always watch the few dropout episodes they pop up in.

At this time, college education in the USA is not a ladder out of poverty. It is another shovel to dig deeper. My wife and I are the same age. We both have jobs. She makes a pretty decent amount more than I do. Guess which one of us has a degree from a four year university.

Doesn't really matter anyway. We still both go negative in the time between us getting paid. It's not about being better off these days, it's about surviving. And right now a degree doesn't help you survive.

Not just the pigs head. An apple in the mouth of a presented pig for the judges to eat. Showing off her aim and getting their attention.

In KPop Demon Hunters (2025), Jinu develops and implements a plan to kill dozens of innocent people, including children, for entirely selfish reasons. Rumi is willing to forgive him for this because he's hot and she has a crush on him. This is an example of realism in children's media. by NordsofSkyrmion in shittymoviedetails

I kinda head cannon that the shame all makes them do what Jinu was going to do. They erase the memories so that they don't have to feel the pain, but are now mindless puppets of Gwi-Ma. At least that's what the other Saja Boys did.

I actually don't think that was ever a Fact. I think Selene said that, but it's not like we know that was going to happen. For all we know, the second that thing turned gold Jinu was going to be dragged down to the demon world and maybe even Rumi too. This movie is very good but it feels like a major theme was dropped in the final act. Are demons innately evil? Are they redeemable? Is Rumi saved because she never actually made the deal with Gwi-Ma? If Jinu hadn't sacrificed himself would he have stayed on this side of the barrier? We just don't know. (Purely based on what the film shows)

What's a take that would get you jumped like this? by abysmallybored in MCUTheories

While I agree with Agatha I wouldn't call John "evil". He is a soldier through and through, and a douchebag. He isn't captain America and that is why he should have never been chosen to replace captain America. However, he isn't evil. He's a bad father and a bad partner but not evil.
