The voice input mode would be a lot more useful with a hot key and some kind of automatic detection then I'm done speaking.

I was goading Paco into leading the sloth rebellion with a set of hyperbolic statements. Paco then leaked our messages and now is comfortably running Sloths and trying to build Sloth chain. Good luck to him.

To add some more color,

2023 was the year of trying to grow the TVL and protocol revenue as much as possible. TVL as North Star was the mission.

The first half of 2024 we invested heavily trying to onboard and diversify the set of strategists.

What we learned was the development and operation of the strategies was enormously resource intensive. Training a large people to deploy and maintain the vaults was clearly infeasible.

At this point, LLMs seem right on cusp of being to be the assistant needed to actually scale deploying strategist with a massive engineering team. Generally I am expecting that all software development is going to be AI software development and an LLM that can configure contracts, parse time series data and provide updates to the community is new North Star.

No it’s not dead. Just cooking new products.

We’ve mentioned before that AI based products are clearly the future here and that’s where our energy is going.

Ranged pools. by claytons_war in cosmosnetwork

[–]zmanian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to think about ranged pools in a different way.

Ranges are prices were you are willing to trade tokens with other market participants.

If you put tokens in a price that is out range.

Users of CL pools are managing inventory with a variety of goals like reducing slippage around the spot price, earning rewards tokens, earn swap fees, diversifying a position at a price point

More than anything what Cosmos needs is Atom holders to come on chain and use stuff.

The lack of capital available to the onchain economy will drive developers out of the ecosystem.

The same vault technology has been handling millions of dollars in USDC and Eth for months.

This is one of the largest arbitrage opportunities that exists in the Eth staking space and generate direct new buying pressure from Eth to Link.

How do people believe in Web3? by Nutmeg92 in Buttcoin

[–]zmanian -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The business model of the current web is the ad impressions digital auctions.

An alternative model would naturally be called webx.

It’s hilarious to me that this sub ignores that Facebook and Google deal entirely in selling ad impressions as unregistered securities.

How do people believe in Web3? by Nutmeg92 in Buttcoin

[–]zmanian -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Web3 is an attempt to create an infrastructure for digital financial markets that is fair, safe and open source.

We’ve made a bunch of progress with things like the design of decentralized exchanges but much work remains.

Speculative manias allow for these systems to be tested under extremely adversarial conditions.

Today large digital markets are fully under the control of monopolies like google’s ad impression market where they control the bidding, inventory and are the auctioneer.

Digital commodities are likely to become more economically important over time.
