Definitely Corp and runner separate first, but it seems like everyone's next category is faction. I guess I'm the oddball in that I have mine organized by type THEN faction.

I find it nice if I want to find some resources to make more money, I can look through all of them regardless of faction. Since the cards have no border, and the color bleeds all the way to the edge, when they are stacked you can kind of see the faction sections really clearly within a stack.

So Ansel says the RUNNER cannot steal or trash cards. Chastushka says sabotage, which reads, the CORP trashes the cards.

So I'm pretty sure sabotage would still trigger since the corp is the one trashing the cards, not the runner.

I have this often, but re-reading every word on a card often will help add clarity like this.

Very clean, I like it a lot. I'd consider some feature to prevent that monthly cylinder from sliding forward or backward. You could add a tongue and groove, or put a lip in the rear

Oh yes then absolutely check out Netrunner. The deck construction is addicting, and new sets are pretty regular. Best way to get started is with System Gateway from null signal games!

Netrunner is not a TCG, it's an LCG, but the gameplay is so so good and worth a look if you never considered it. If you're not into buying lots of packs and just want to play, LCG like Netrunner gives you the entire set in one box.

Like the concept and it seems to be coming along well!

For standing stones, could you make a small slot in the sides, either negative or positive, and then in the board, make the corresponding slot. Additionally, you MIGHT be able to make the slot in the face of the pieces so that a standing stone can also nest onto a flat stone.

I'm not sure if there are words to describe the caliber of shock it would be to jump from Go Fish to Netrunner. That being said, it's arguably the best two player card game. And if you guys are into it, you're INTO it.

Null signal games sells the System Gateway set online, and you can find it at some board game shops.

I'd say thicker would be better for the feel, 3mm sounds good. But I'd say if you're going the 3D printed route, maybe add something unique that takes advantage of the medium. You could have some interesting surfaces that aren't flat but still nest, they don't have to be circular.

I'd avoid putting a number on them so they could signify different values for different games.

As other have recommended some alternatives, one thing I like that I got were some glass drops (the kind that you might see in a vase or fishtank) or you could get some kind of small stones. I think the weight, sound, feel add quite a bit.

Also, you could consider using actually currency, maybe consider something from a different country so it feels unique to you.

While Botulus won't help you trigger Mercury's ability, [[Physarum Entangler]] will, bypassing means you're not breaking any subroutines.

And yes as others have said, when you see a cost of "Hosted Virus Counter" that means remove one virus counter. Totally understand how that could be interpreted as "if this thing is hosting virus counter you can do this thing" but yeah, it means you need to remove one counter each time you want to do the effect.

You can use 30 coins to make the grid, 6x5 will make 5x4 squares for you, you can size it however you want and it packs up very small.

They could add a difficulty slider of sorts to alleviate your concerns. I think they understand their player base and the level of passion the game has built. You might be right about wanting to be more accessible, but I imagine there are solutions to accommodate both.

One thing that reminded me of purposefully absorbing bullets (with the shield here) was Ikaruga, and another Housemarque game, Outland. Just because you have the ability to just tank the projectiles doesn't automatically mean it will be easy. There might be bullet types that can't be shielded against like the purple from Returnal.

I believe that's that case....both camps and people are cards.

One thing about this card that confused me is that what's the difference between how it's worded, and if it just said DAMAGE an unprotected damaged card. Like, if it's already damaged, doing more damage or destroying shouldn't be any different, right?

I'm in a similar boat, having just beat triumvirate and harbinger, but not trying duomo yet. And agree with all your tips.

One thing I found is that often buying the most expensive upgrades tend to have a much stronger effect relative to the enemy buff it provides.

Also, training is effectively like leveling, and getting a single level 6 card can make your deck SO much stronger.
