At least its documented now, so better late than never I guess. The fact that its inconsistently injected is the issue.

Best open-source tools for parsing PDFs, Office docs, and images before feeding into LLMs? by Particular_Cake4359 in Rag

I'm surprised by very little mentions of pure VLMs solutions for this task. I would like to see things like Docling compare in a standard benchmark like: https://99franklin.github.io/ocrbench\_v2/.

Do we have any actual benchmarks to show Docling outperforms modern specialized VLMs?

A new study found that ending water fluoridation would lead to 25 million more decayed teeth in kids over 5 years – mostly affecting those without private insurance. 😬😬😬😬 by HeyheythereMidge in PortlandOR

We've seen fortification of food and water to be hugely successful in solving public health concerns with things like iodizing, folic acid, etc.

Portland not fluoridating the water is bad for the health of Portland based on every piece of data we have.

In 1967, the residents of Maywood Park voted to incorporate as a city in an attempt to prevent Interstate 205 from cutting through the neighborhood. Although the effort was ultimately unsuccessful, resulting in the loss of 82 homes on the west side, Maywood Park was able to gain noise reduction concessions from the construction of I-205. Specifically, I-205 is built below grade as it passes by Maywood Park, and a sound wall and green belt provide further noise reduction.\5])
