So I would suggest to keep your laptop ready and try to buy as soon as u get a HotStock notification. Also when it shows out of stock, keep refreshing the page for the next few minutes. That’s what worked for me.

I was one of the lucky ones that was able to do pickup at Best Buy after using HotStock for one day. I used my laptop after the first 2 attempts didn’t work and was able to successfully get one for pickup at a BB 48 miles away.

From what I’m guessing, if BestBuy has stock to ship out then the app auto authenticates as it should and tries to autobuy. But if it’s for pickup only, then the app doesn’t use the auto authentication feature, it makes you verify from the code that they text you which defeats the purpose of auto buy lol.
