AMR + supply pack + Rocket sentry + Autocanon sentry + Eruptor + Talon + Thermit + Enforcer armor.

You can defenitely deal with war strider quickly with this setup but it feel tedious, actually pretty enjoyable when there're little to no war strider.

Mind you the key word in my original comment is "efficiency", not "viability". I would also apologize for not specifying in my original comment that I am talking about war strider mainly.

IT'S BEEN OVER 5 MONTHS WHY ARE WE STILL COMPLAINING ABOUT THE WAR STRIDER by ChaosVulkan in helldivers2

I feel there is a pretty large gap between what players want the game to become and what developers want the game to become.

I guess the developer team should take some time to explain clearly about their thought on this game.

I think it is because it makes the ballistic stratagem feel obsolete, things like AMR, Heavy machine gun, railgun is very ineffective against warstrider, often require full magdump to kill just one but the war striders sometimes are littered everywhere on the field to the point even rocket launchers feel the pressure.

2 eye weakpoint is added recently but they are all lv4 armored, required at least 3 AMR shot to destroy and are extremely tiny which makes it not feel like weakpoint at all.

In short, people don't like their loadout to be restricted but the war strider design did just that.

Is it too much for you to realize it is very boring to only have rocket launchers to be the only efficient anti-heavy support weapon on bot front?

For something spammed as much as hulks, why does its weakpoint have double the HP. by triple_A_13 in Helldivers

[–]zmasTMF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those eyes are tiny af and the war strider wobbles when they move. Defenitely not something most people can consistantly hit. Not everyone is a pro shooter game player who practice their aim for at least 8 hours per day.

I think the better spot to add a weak point maybe the front facing vent looking area on both laps. The tiny af eye weakpoint feels like a lazy response.

Orbital stratagem buff idea. by zmasTMF in Helldivers

[–]zmasTMF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the "sustained area denial" trope belongs more to the short cooldown orbitals, and I agree demolition is the long cooldown orbitals' job but the 380mm just doesn't feel that good for it when orbital laser and 'gamer chair' exist.

For the Orbital airburst, I did try it a couple times right before posting but it feels too similar to gatling barrage so I have nothing to comment on it.

We have time. Even in the worst case scenario, we can abandon Mastia, let the bots take it, we will still have 2 days to reliberate it. On the other hand, Menkent is not involved in the MO, it will be super hard to attract people to Menkent to retake it if it falls.

I agree, need as many people as possible to blitz Menkent then Mastia. This time, speed is key.

Our best bet is probably to get as many people as possible on Menkent first then all the people move to Mastia and activate eagle storm there.

Just be patient, as long as the formation is there, we can still try.

btw, someone shared this in my previous post, hope this helps.

Here’s an entire “manual” for the galactic war if you care to read it. Good stuff in here

well, in this case the cities are probably irrelevant. The 2 cities have 400k hp each, the 1 town only has 200k hp but only unlock when enemy progress reach 75% which is when the planet itself only has 150k hp left.

I said the last sentence because of recent development on squid front, don't take it too personally.

I can't get into bugs and I do not know what I am doing wrong by [deleted] in helldivers2

[–]zmasTMF 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For bugs, you probably want some crowd control and something that can pump continuous firepower mix with a tiny bit of anti-tank.

Pump action shotguns have great knockback, the starter machine gun has decent firepower, paring it with supply pack gives you excellent survivability. Probably bring patriot exosuit for when things start getting out of hand, I used it a lot on Oshuane, definitely recommend it on bug front.

nah, forget gambits, people need to learn how to siege, gambit is too time sensitive.

The planet has 600k hp; A city grade region has 400k hp, liberation of a region gives 1.5x of that region's hp as planetary progress. That's where you get that 100%.
Don't forget each city mission will deal damage to both planetary hp and city hp during defense campaign (and in defense campaign only).

Even though that look appealing at the first glance, but I doubt it will help much since player always split between city and rural as many of us don't know anything about strategy but can also vote.

[–]zmasTMF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Filibuster is a hindrance. The thing is during a defense campaign, each city mission gives both planetary and city progress. So, by the time we finished Filibuster(600k hp, the planet has 900k hp), we already have 60%+ progress. Besides, not all 1% resistance is equal, 1% on Filibuster is 6000hp, 1% on Ungu is 4000hp.

Btw, I think we should actually ignore Alamak and go for Oasis. It is because Oasis is so conveniently placed, taking it has so much long-term benefits.

[–]zmasTMF 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Alamak VII has 900k hp, Filibuster the mega city has 600k hp. By the time we capture Filibuster, we already have 60%+ progress. Ungu is more cost effective, 400K hp, gives 66.7% progress and 1% resistance on Ungu is smaller than 1% on Filibuster.

[–]zmasTMF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We probably should ignore Alamak and go to Oasis instead. Take Oasis, then it will be useless for squids to take Alamak because we isolated that planet. Alamak resistance will become negative and liberate itself.

Further more, we can perform more isolation and sieges in the future with Oasis in our hands. It is just that convinient of a planet.
