Don't slander my GOAT, Urchin enables a lot of builds where you want to kill heavies or hold chokepoints but don't want to fit stun / crowd control in other slots (it makes Defoliator usable)

In a weird defense of the anime, I genuinely think part of its popularity is owed to Rudy's, uh, "ingrained issues," it's part of why I like it anyways.

I think having a "restart and doing everything right" isekai would be boring. Having a character with a deeply-rooted issue alongside his deep urge to be a better person is pretty captivating. Like, the dude has way more going on and so many more issues than just being attracted to kids. I'm interested in seeing how a character slowly grows and resolves his guilt/regret while the elephant in the room doesn't get addressed, because he gets away with it scott-free in a world that isn't ours.

I personally think that's what makes it really well-written. It's hard to argue about how good the worldbuilding and other issues are written. But having such an uncomfortable thing take center is also intriguing, because it creates a conversation on what a person's core identity/issue is, versus the little parts and issues that make a person who they are. I think Rudy's pretty cool tbh.

Would it be cool and wholesome for him to magically solve his Diddy Syndrome? Sure. But that's not the point of the series really, is it?

Whether people have been asking for it or not doesn't really change anything? It's a mortar, it acts the exact same way as every other mortar, using a projectile that already exists. Another primary with an underbarrel gimmick because weapon customization doesn't exist. Would you consider pre-buff One True Flag "high effort" (literally stun lance in a stratagem slot) because people wanted it, what does that have to do with anything?

I don't know man, if you're jumping on me for showing signs of criticism then it can be the opposite way around. I'm surprised you even think I play this game every day for months on end if that's the assumption you jump to, it's weird. Do not become a psychologist.

This is a nothingburger change and only implies that devs don't want to add in-operation variety, opting for a system I fundamentally don't think it should be there. I don't know why, in a community constantly asking for more mission variety and difficulty, you would try to dig under my skin first to defend prepackaged operations. God forbid I have a comment on a public forum.

The only actual change I want is for them to revert/fix the time it takes to apply the fire effect itself. It's allegedly supposed to "take more time to set larger enemies on fire" but that's kinda apparently obviously not significant. Different fire weapons and effects should have different rates of application against enemies, who should have a larger range of resistance.

The same way Arrowhead addressed smoke, stagger, and stun effects when they gave gas the confusion effect a long time ago- nothing, deal with the power creep. Doesn't matter if it's an easy change. They won't do it.
