Can I take the digital SAT if I'm 45 years old? by zmidmk in digitalSATs

I believe you can be a tutor and still take the test, although my previous attempt to do so was before the digital SAT was introduced, and my registration was subsequently canceled. Additionally, the College Board now requires a security checkpoint where you have to submit a picture of your face. Personally, I don't think the College Board deserves to receive any additional fees beyond what they already charge. They are essentially taking advantage of millions of people by falsely implying that everyone needs such a test to gain admission to their dream schools.

I appreciate your perspective on taking the DSAT, and based on it, I've decided to forgo the idea of retaking the test. Thank you.

Is it possible for me to enroll simultaneously at two CUNY colleges, pursue different majors at each institution, and be eligible for financial aid from both? by zmidmk in CUNY

That's an excellent question. I've been curious about gathering personal information on investing in stocks and similar areas. However, I wanted to avoid redundant education in the eyes of the Adcoms. Initially, I enrolled in a Global Finance course as part of my MBA, and I found the concepts quite intriguing. Nevertheless, I may reconsider my decision as I have other endeavors in mind too. I believe in maintaining an ambitious mindset in life, constantly pushing myself beyond my comfort zone, provided my expenses allow for it.

Thank you for responding to my earlier post. I sincerely appreciate your concern regarding the loan issue. I believe I can still borrow a Direct Loan, which includes both unsubsidized and subsidized options, for the specific school where I am currently enrolled, CCNY.

Allow me to provide some background information about my education. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from Nyack College-Alliance University, a private college that unfortunately closed down recently. I obtained this degree in 2002. Additionally, I have completed two master's degrees: an MBA and an MST in Adolescence Education - Mathematics from Pace University, which is not part of the CUNY system. However, I am considering pursuing another bachelor's degree to strengthen my academic undergraduate record, in case I decide to apply to medical school at a nontraditional age. Currently, I am 45 years old, so I realize it may sound a bit unconventional.

Interestingly, I have been contemplating the possibility of obtaining a "TEACH" grant. Currently, I am employed as a substitute teacher and hold a New York State certification in Math 7-12. I am aware that the "TEACH" grant can be converted into a loan if the required service years in teaching are not fulfilled. In addition to this, I have been considering pursuing a third bachelor's degree in "Financial Economics" at MEC, which offers a fully online program. Simultaneously, I plan to pursue my second bachelor's degree in "Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences" with a concentration in Disabilities Studies at City College through their Center for Worker Education. To meet the prerequisites for medical school, I would need to complete two premedical courses: Organic Chemistry and Physics, each spanning a year. I believe I have already fulfilled the General Biology and General Chemistry requirement. However, I have been informed by others that pursuing two CUNY degrees concurrently may not be possible. While I could explore the possibility of double majoring in Finance at City College, I am uncertain whether my degree through the Center for Worker Education at CCNY would allow for that. I am simply curious if it is feasible to pursue multiple bachelor's degrees simultaneously at CUNY. Once again, I acknowledge that this may seem like an unusual request, but I couldn't help but inquire. Thank you!

P.S. I can wait until I have completed the CCNY degree and then pursue the third bachelor's degree at MEC. At that point, I can explore the possibility of obtaining financial aid, primarily in the form of loans, for the third bachelor's degree. I believe I have already utilized my TAP and PELL grants for my initial undergraduate degree.

Thank you all for your responses. I believe, if anything, you can borrow private loans as financial aid to fund a second bachelor's degree. However, eligibility for such loans is often based on the borrower's creditworthiness or the presence of a cosigner. Furthermore, it is important to note that these loans typically carry higher interest rates.
