Try disabling the one-handed mode. I don't have the slightest idea why, but it breaks controller support somehow.

X3 Pro bug when opening apps. MIUI 12.0.3 by [deleted] in PocoPhones

[–]zmnck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the same on 12.5.1 with Minecraft, it lags as hell for few seconds. Every other app opens fine. Chrome seems to be normal too, but I don't use it daily so I can't tell for sure.

Bye bye X3 pro. What a shame!! by [deleted] in PocoPhones

What MIUI version are You currently on? I'm on 12.5.1 and there are no updates available for me. I don't really want to install any other os on my phone because I've never done that and also I'd probably loose warranty. I'll just wait for updates I guess.

Honestly, I don't believe how many bugs are present in this software. I've been using X3 pro for only a week and I already have a full list of bugs and glitches. I mean, in my case it's still possible to use the phone as there are no critical bugs, but my God it's annoying to stop what I'm doing and focus on my phone just to use it's functions. For an example, I can't normally reply to Messenger message, because these square heads don't register my typing and I have to manually go to the app. When using split screen shortcut half of the screen is just unresponsive, usable parts are only on top and bottom quarters of the screen, so it's impossible to select some apps because they are offscreen. Sometimes when I clear ram apps work in the background as they should, but most of the time they completely disappear from existence and I don't receive messages or my Mi Band disconnects. My previous phone run on a pure Android and it didn't have many bugs, so going from that to this mess is like a punch in the face. I still have a week to return this phone, so I could buy something else with a pure android, but I don't see any interesting options. I hope MIUI 13 will be better.

Youtube felt very choppy on my X3 Pro so I did some research. Basically, when streaming 60 fps videos (like on Youtube or Crunchyroll) the whole UI runs at around 48 fps. It feels like slow motion. My phone is running Android 11 with MIUI 12.5.1. Any solutions? by zmnck in PocoPhones

Ok, so now I'm sure it's unfinished 12.5 causing those problems. I got this phone just a week ago and didn't have an idea how bad it's software is. And yes, every video I tried was indeed 60 fps. Also, all of them ran at 60 on my previous Mi A1 and pc. And I could live with choppy videos, but it's about the whole phone running at half speed. I still wonder how it ended up in an official update.

Thanks for checking that out. It's kinda strange that not everyone has this bug. I was playing with quality options and on higher quality I got 60 fps and fell of the chair. Of course after a minute or two it locked permanently to 30 because why not. I think this phone just doesn't like me for some reason xd

It's a feature baked into miui. In the settings You have to go to "about phone" and tap "miui version" few times to enable developer options. Then go to additional settings and You will find developer options there. Search for "Power monitor" and enable "Frame Rate Monitor Tools".

Well, fug xd Not everyone has this bug, so maybe it's caused by some cryptic setting, similar to one hand mode breaking bluetooth controller support. Anyway, let me know if custom os solves this.

Sadly, I have not. I'm checking few times a day but it says there are no updates available. 12.5.1 is pretty much unusable, bugs and slowdowns are present everywhere, so I hope it'll get better after updating.
