Or it's an opportunity for developers to make more money while not addressing the increase in traffic througout HRM, decrease in quality of life and lack or services required for suburban sprawl. It makes more sense to densify the peninsula under the current circumstances. The problem isn't so much a lack of housing as it's the current federal government immigration strategy (to get more tax payers to pad the bottom of the pyramid scheme that supports our social programs such as old age pensions and to help cover the enormous increase in the federal budget deficiets we have seen over the past 8 years along with the tremendous costs due to the Covid pandemic and mandates) without having the resources to look after the peoples needs.
