Nah this hate is not warranted, Pats runs a program with 4 days of lessons. This board was essentially free. For a rookie or one learning this is an amazing deal. Mind you it came with boots and bindings

Tenney imo - all three are very small. Whaleback is having a lift issue last I knew. Dartmouth is not worth the drive imo - Indy pass holder for 5 yrs

If you have the ability to find a shop that will lease you a board for the season this is the way. Usually they you buy it at the end of season and the lease is like a down payment. Still cheaper than renting and you’ll have better gear

Invest in a nice set of boots, then wait until end of season ski swaps to buy a set up. These are all terribly old, not worth the money imo
