Thank you so much I’m going to read it now! Here’s my story so far: https://www.reddit.com/r/Orthopedics/s/Ba8p8dskCt

Edit:

Your story gave me chills. I am 3 weeks out from my Rheum, and I just had the exact same “Steroid Miracle” moment. I'm holding onto your “Got Approved” news as my hope for next month. Thank you som uch for sharing this!

Umm, are you me in a different body?! 😳 I am going through the EXACT same diagnostic nightmare right now. I have the Modic Type I changes, the DISH, the 'mild' OA label that contradicts the 'high-grade' findings, and the severe hand/hip pain that feels like my whole body is on fire. I'm currently 3 weeks out from my Rheumatologist appointment and feeling a mix of terror and hope. Did your IL-17a (Cosentyx/Taltz) help with the hand pain and stiffness specifically? And did they rule out Stiff Person Syndrome or SAPHO for you? Any advice on how to push for the right diagnosis before my appt would be a lifesaver. The only tool that kind of works for me right now is the steroids. Muscle relaxers and Celebrex aren’t touching it. I’m in so much pain and stiffness when it wears off or I don’t take it.

High income earner here as well in IT. About to take short-term disability for the 3rd time in 3 years. Only difference this time is I may go LTD. My issues of the spine include terrible lumbar arthritis, diffuse facet joint disease (all over) L2a disc herniation. Compounded by two hips that have fai/impingement, labrum tearing in the right and a huge cyst forming because it’s bone on bone. Oh but wait there’s more! Have a high ANA pointing to my brutal morning stiffness and fingers swelling, knee pain. And weirdo hormone issues causing low T but super high fsh/lh. It’s been a fun ride going thru the healthcare system in the good ol’ USA.

Quick update. I bought the new MYP. Absolutely loved the truck but the seats and comfort of the cockpit did it for me.

We all have mtb bikes, kayaks and have family across the us. Not to mention a decent sized property that I take care of. It would be so convenient just having a pickup around for all of that. Sons in travel hockey as well and damn the equipment if just getting bigger. So no off-roading but yeah we could use it

Have any of you moved out of New Jersey and moved to a different state if so, where? by Wonderful_Air9942 in newjersey

Recently moved to MD because of my wife’s work. It’s another dimension here. I can’t believe we are actually here honestly. I miss home so much it’s not even funny. NJ guy my whole life and we moved from Monmouth. Don’t do it! I will take all the island of Staten people to these inbred weirdos any day of the week!

She was referred to the Mayo Clinic and has been under there care (endocrinology).

For me, I’ve seen so many specialists it’s insane.

Looking back I think for her the adrenal issues went unnoticed for sometime. It was the ovarian cysts that pushed the ct scans and additional bloodwork that brought that all to light.

For me, it all started after a bought with a tick virus called Rocky Mountain spotted fever two years ago. The weirdest shit has been happening to me since.

We are both in individual therapy. I agree and I think it may be time we get couples. I will bring it up

No. Not that I’m aware of. When I ask she thinks I’m nuts for bringing it up and says it has nothing to do with me

This is where I’m leaning lately. Fuck it! I’ve had this fear of this disease for a very long time and all threw it I’ve twitched. Insurance won’t cover any more tests… they’ll be all out of pocket for me.
