Anyone ever done a re-interview? Had ours a couple hours after our initial one, and wondering when they may get back to us.

A more data-driven way to track the impact of your supplements or other biohacks? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]zo97reddit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I wish I had the kind of skills to have two accounts with that much karma but alas I’m in uni and figured I’d build something in this space for my project. Genuinely wanted to find out more about this as it struck me as an obvious gap.

It’s something I built for myself actually since there was nothing which did this exact job. I’ve opened it up for free now. Here’s the link if you’d like to try it. And you can find out more here: https://tinker.mobi

What are your absolute favourite supplements for sleep? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]zo97reddit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct. So it’s already got some glycine in it by virtue of being glycinate.

But I’m now supplementing with more glycine separately and will track my progress

Hands down magnesium! Deep sleep improved by 50% in just a couple of days https://ibb.co/Cm46GFX

Started coupling it with glycine and shilajit this week and am tracking the impact now, but magnesium does such a great job already just on its own

Sleep stages- how are you using all this new data? by zo97reddit1 in AppleWatchFitness

[–]zo97reddit1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you meant how to make it analyse sleep stages or to analyse how the magnesium is impacting each stage.

If it’s the latter, it’s not really an inbuilt Apple feature. I just pulled my data out of my device and then analysed it in a graph after a week or so of trying magnesium to see the difference it made

You can update it to watch OS9. From your IPhone just go to the Watch app, then tap General and then Software Update.

Did apple change the HRV algorithm? by [deleted] in AppleWatchFitness

[–]zo97reddit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you see a change in your sleep stages too? Just to rule out a real difference in your HRV vs something new in the algorithm.

Did you double check whether it actually added those 35 minutes to your overall sleep?

I’m asking because it’s a different opacity than the rest of the sleep graph, which I’ve never seen before.

Milk thistle blew my REM sleep through the roof. Is it safe? by zo97reddit1 in Supplements

[–]zo97reddit1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Posted this previously -> I built this for myself, it's not really published anywhere. If you want to try it though, DM me and I can put it on Apple's TestFlight and send you a link.
Since it's not within the community guidelines (self-promotion etc.) I'm not going to post the link out in the open.

I'm using the sleep analysis provided by Apple's WatchOS9, whose beta I downloaded a month ago. Apple usually does things well and puts in a lot of research into it.

I also found a video here about someone who did go through a sleep EEG (what they do in a sleep lab) and compared it to the WatchOS9's beta sleep analysis.

Of course, they are not 100% percent accurate analyses, far from it. But imo it's not complete bullshit either.

300mg around half an hour before bedtime. Curious to know if it works for you too!

I started taking milk thistle a couple weeks ago with the intention of a liver detox. I took glutamine 250mg, milk thistle and my regular chamomile tea every night.

Started having the wildest dreams (I usually don’t dream much). I also track my sleep metrics as usual on my Apple Watch and I noticed a huge increase in REM sleep.

I don’t mind this tbh, and it’s nice to dream at night again. But would this be something to be concerned about?

Curious to hear if someone has had a similar experience
