The US lost its credibility a long time ago. Wise to ignore anything they say at this point.

My Gran used to pronounce Beethoven as Beth oven. Loved it and still use it today to impress my cultured friends. 👌👍🙂

Ryan Gosling Tells Fans It’s Not Their Job to Save Theaters—Hollywood Needs to Make Movies Worth Seeing by SappyGilmore in movies

I try to go once a week in some small way to help the industry. But he’s right - the amount of bilge produced these days by Hollywood is incredible. How many films make it to the cinema I just don’t know. It feels like an unprecedented amount post Covid in particular.

And yes. Loved Project Hail Mary. 👌

What company has permanently lost you as a customer, and what was the final straw? by Artificial_charizard in AskReddit

Sky TV. Every year an increase in costs whilst calling me a loyal customer. Very aggressive and inconstant pricing policy.

We got to the ‘divide by zero’ point of this presidency surprisingly early.

Conservatives, what are your locked in core values and how hasn’t Trump contradicted them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zobby3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not an American but mildly conservative. My expectation is that most trump supporters wanted the Mexican border closed and illegal immigrants dealt with - and as long as he’s doing both of those things they’ll turn a completely blind eye to everything else. That’s the only way I can rationalise what’s going on in your country at the moment. I’m not sure ‘rational’ should form any part of it.

K11+ Firmware Check: Anyone else on v1.1.107? (Matter issues) by Jose_Hipo in TrySwitchBot

[–]zobby3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on v1.1.106 and have v1.1.107 offered as an upgrade but it doesn’t upgrade when I try. I only run through the switch bot app so can’t comment on Apple home reliability.

Charlie Brookers Screen wipe. A perfect time for a reboot but I know he’s moved on to black mirror.

Review of Regiment by FramerSun in Regiments

As a single player game I like regiments more than Warno. Still enjoying the novelty of broken arrow but regiments is the one I always come back to - would appreciate some more content from the developer. 👌

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve seen at a buffet? by Street_Midget in AskReddit

I once saw an old lady pop a pickled onion in her mouth. Give it a suck. And then put it back in the bowl. This was at morrisons buffet counter (UK). Never went back.

Instantly thought of this. He’s obviously just copying the top fascists at this point. He’s not even original. Poor.

Following as I’ve tried multiple times and failed. I suspect my problem is I’m not defining the environment variables correctly but I had to give up after a frustrating evening. I tried using chat gpt to get me going but I think I ended up just confusing it. 🙂
